Thanks for the tips and messages...

Photos coming ...Finally having a break from work today. Hopefully will click. The camera is in the car for last 2 days

Some quick observations from the vehicle ...

1) The floor mats available at M&M with XUV branding is badly designed. Moves around in the floor and doesnt fit in properly. Covers the dead pedal partly making your shoes getting stuck, which can be dangerous in a reflex situation. Feed back given to M&M . Lets see what happens. It costs 2500 bucks .

2) If you are tall and prefers driving sitting up, there are good chances of your right knee hitting the key. Happening to me, and i have to change my seating position a bit.

3) The USB console cannot be closed if you put the pen drive.

1. Ergonomics : Im pretty happy on it.
2. Driving comfort (clutch etc.). As mentioned clutch is a bit tight, needs service to fit to my liking. Superb Driving comfort.
3. Braking: is very good
4. FE : Too early for FE monitoring. My onscreen display says 10.1 as of now.
5. Squeaks and rattles (if any). None so far.
6. Turning radius: Impressive. 5.4 is what the company says.
7. Practicality of the vehicle: City driving is very manageable, Highways should be really cool .

This can be solved by using a L shaped USB extension wire. something like : usb extension wire | eBay

Congrats for the first 5-O-O. Black truly brings out the brute nature of the car. Does your come with reverse camera/parking sensors as standard? Also, How much more will the W8 cost over the W6?

W6 has reverse sensors. No camera though.

W6 FWD to W8 FWD price difference is around 1.2 lacs ex showroom.

Here we go.. Few snaps of the interior and exterior of the Mamba...

Interiors snaps..Mostly of the front console. More snaps of interiors and exteriors coming in ....

nice pictures, did you also try small HP pendrive the really small one's they could also help closing of the usb door. I like Fiat's implementation of hiding pen drive in dash. Also i do not like the side key system, too much used to front key entry of fiat, i wonder why mahindra did not do it. It's so easy to insert key from the front, then from side.

Mannubhai, Congratulations on your Mamba and thanks for your ownership report

I have a question though. There was an additional USB port on top of the dash (beneath the flip open panel) in the test drive car. Is it also a regular USB port to be used to read ipods? So we can connect a thumb drive as well as an ipod to the car?

The extra USB port on the top of the dash is to update the Maps. Not for multimedia playback

Hi Mannubhai, congrats and wish you a happy diwali
any updates on your XUV - has the abs problem been resolved
any rattling from the rear door like mentioned in the team bhp review
have the gears become smoother to engage and whats the Fuel economy now
any problems with the cover at the bottom of the middle console which covers the usb port ( it was not working on the test drive xuv)
how is the ride over rough roads ( the latest ACI full review of the XUV mentions that ride is bad over rough roads )

XUV is running smooth so far, waiting for a long drive. Hopefully the coming week should be the time for it

I did not have an issue with the ABS. Gears have to be serviced to make it smoother so does the clutch. Havent gone to the service yet .

No rear door rattling.

Blore roads are anyways bad roads. So most riding has been bumpy. No significant discomfort in terms of bad rides.

Clutch - Should be getting it done weekend. Issue is, its pretty far from where i live and work.

ICE- It has got a stock ICE. Seems okay as of now, will need to enhance , not immediately.

City handling is been good. Even the U turns are impressive .

Congratulations Mannubhai on acquiring the Mamba. It looks stunning in black. What I think would be the most interesting part to watch out for, is the rattling or some other such issues. The car I test drove, had just 300 odd kilometers on the ODO, and still I could hear faint rattling noises which were just starting.
I expect them to rise as the time goes by.

Good to know that your car does not have the rear door rattling issue. Anyways, do let us know if any such problems come up. Fingers crossed .
