I should probably mention a thing or two about how the car handles now, i guess

Today with the roads dry, the sun out and all the warning lights gone from the dash, I was able to test its handling to some extent. The results are very very pleasing! Before this install, the car's handling was ok for its size. But now it has improved by leaps and bounds. It corners a lot better and with a lot more confidence!

I have only ten days remaining to get used to it and to make sure there are no issues with the install before i go to the Autocross school on 2nd May.

Enjoy the autocross!

Just keep an eye on your tires - are you still using the Toyo all-seasons?

Try bumping up tire pressure by about 2psi over the recommended pressure.

Thanks! Will do.

They (the SCCNH Novice handbook) recommend 5 psi above manufacturer recommended pressure for all wheel drives. I anyway have a battery operated pump that i plan to keep with me.

Yes the tires are still Toyo all seasons. I am not particularly happy with these though. The sooner they wear off the better

After lowering the car, I am running a slight negative camber which is normal for lowered cars. This is supposed to help in better handling too, though it kills the tires. I am thinking of getting a camber adjustment kit when i change the tires next, if not sooner.

I wanted to try the autocross once. Are you going alone or taking family along?

Whats the inflater you use? Is it like a portable one?

I'll be going alone. I don't think the kids and wife would like to wake up at 6 in the morning on a Saturday But they might drop in to see some action later in the day.

I bought the tire inflator from Costco. This is the one:
http://costcocouple.com/goodyear-12-volt-inflator/

I use it for variety of purposes, ranging from kids' football to their bicycles to the car.

Oh i thought i had posted about it in the other "Driving in North America" thread.

It was a great experience! But boy did my car feel big compared to all the Miatas and Golfs. That did not stop me from throwing my car around though. The trainer was also great! I think I would have hit all the cones on the track if it were not for him telling me where to go!

I wish I had gotten more track time though. I've heard that on a regular autocross event, you get anything from 8 to 12 laps of the circuit.

Sadly, due to more pressing family issues, I have not been able to go back :(

But this is an experience I would definitely recommend to one and all!

Great seems like fun, I am sure you would have enjoyed and the Charger would have enjoyed it as well. Thanks for replying I will read about about it in the thread mentioned by you.
