Great to see the continuity.. Can you also mention the cost of the service at 40000Kms and what all was part of the service. I have my LIVA at 38000Kms and would shortly put it up for a service. Also, i recently opened and checked the Air Filter and it was so darn dusty. Did a job of cleaning it up but that was just a shoddy job. I plan to replace it in the coming service.. Do you recommend to replace it or cleaning is good?

Update:

The car crossed the 47k mark last week! Sorry about the late update, had no internet for a while.

It's currently at 47,500~

Also, last week's rains seemed to have caused a minor issue. The right headlamp has some water in it & it clouds up the lens! Don't know how to get rid of the water, switching on the high beams for 5 mins defogs it though.

Hi

I believe I paid about 500 bucks since it was under smiles package. They replaced the air filter! Car felt much better after that.
I asked them to replace the brake pads but they refused saying it still has some mm left in it. Rear brakes seem to have worn off after aggressive driving.

You should replace it! Doesn't cost much, ask your dealer and do the needful.

Half a century, you mean? :P

Thanks man! There are a few issues that needs to be addressed though:

1. Brake pads need to be replaced, still in stock with my spirited driving.
2. All 4 tyres need to be replaced, looks like I'm running on racing slicks😂
3. Exhaust pipe noise needs to be fixed by tightening the screws that hold it in place.

Apart from these, it's pretty good!

I changed the brake pads at 50K service. The service people said I can still manage another 4-5K km, but I decided to change. So around 50K seems to the right time to change the brake pads.

I am approaching 60K and changed the stock MRF tyres a few days ago at 58,996. Not bad I would say.

So far, nothing else cropped up in my almost 60K experience in four years. The car still runs like it's new!

A bit off topic, but would like opinion from other Liva owners that whether a second hand liva GD of oct 2012 vintage done 60000 kms with new tyres for about Rs.4.5 lacs would be a sensible buy.??

Oct 2012 with 60k km seems to be decent.
At 4.5lakhs, I guess that's a reasonable price, that too with new tyres. Please check for any major accidents.

Hi Saadat, sorry to hijack your thread, but felt this will be useful:-

A common problem faced by us Liva owners is $$ For the interest of Liva owners is the lack of weather seal on Liva doors causes lot of dust to settle on the door frame. In my case on two occasions a lizard was hiding in the gap and when I opened the door, it jumped inside the car. It took a hell lot of effort to get it out.
A month ago was browsing through Ali Express and came across this:-

The item is available at below link:-
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4M-Z...608.0.0.Zd4vbJ

Ordered it and was delivered within one month. No additional duties paid.

Installed it yesterday and the results are very good.

The missing door rubber seals on my Etios even bothered me a lot. My parking is in basement and had similar problems as you reported. Thanks a lot for this tip . Could you tell how many or the total approx length of the door rubber seal required to seal the Etios/Liva doors? And any comments on the durability of the rubber seal you got from Ali Express?

I had ordered 4m and its sufficient. Holding up well till now. No problems now with dust and bugs.
The 3M tape that it comes with is pretty weak. So i used fevikwik to get a stronger bond. So far no issues.
Any other queries let me know.
