Took the car to MASS for a check up yesterday. Asked them to do 9 point check up (long drives coming up) and o a complete water service including interior cleaning. Also instructed to do check the suspension as the ride has become very stiff.
Ended up paying 2400/- as the suspension bushes were changed and a complete overhaul was performed.

Well my swift has clocked 50K today and gone for a service at MSM Chennai.

Some niggling doubts as below

I risk but still could not resist asking this question.
why does the 20K, 40K 60K and 80K service likely to cost more.
For more clarity let me add my example
synth oil change at every 10K so that would be costlier right or am missing something big time.

For every 10K kms, oil needs to be changed. So even at 20K, 40K etc, the oil is changed and NOT only at 10K, 30K, 50K etc!

In addition to everything done at 10K, 30K, 50K etc, 20K, 40K services also include additional items like diesel (fuel) filter (replacement interval being every 20,000 kms) etc which raises the service cost further.

In the odd number services (10K, 30K, 50K, 70K) it is mostly oil and an air filter that needs a change but in the even number of services (20K, 40K, 60K, 80K) there is engine oil + oil filter + air filter + transmission oil + fuel filter + wheel alignment + wheel balancing + cacabin air filter etc are there hence the bill goes up.

Last but not the least, works increase the car clocks mileage and maintenance of it. If it is a pampered car servicing costs will be controlled.
