Anurag.
The cover is needed because my car is as long as the roof of the parking area.
Did not plan on the cover but seeing the stains forming on the car, I have no choice.

Exactly.

You will also not see little children standing right behind your Rr bumper.

I would suggest a reverse camera. Prices on those have dropped now
What would be the price off a basic setup?

The cost of a basic setup of rear view reverse camera/sensor with display will cost you within 4K.

If you are changing out the head unit to a double DIN for SQ/SP reasons, then the incremental cost for a cam is negligible.

Otherwise a somewhat less-glamorous but still effective solution is to fit a reverse sensor+beeper. Make sure you get the placement right where you want it (blind spot)

More here

Many Many congratulations bblost!! A very nicely written review as well. Chevrolets claims of it being a corvette inspired dash board is a bit stretched in my opinion but beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder!! Wishing you a great ownership experience.

The SRC button and the Previous Track/ Call Disconnect are difficult to use.

The Volume button is fouled if the USB cover is not correctly positioned.

I would have preferred better ergonomics, but I can live with this.
I don't use the phone while driving except when talking with my mom.
SRC is not something I change. All my music in on my pendrive.

Does anyone know how to find out the maximum supported pen drive for head units?

Thanks.

I like the dash and it helps that I have never been seated inside a Corvette before.

Thumbs up re: BBLost's Chevrolet Sail UVA: First 1,000 kms weekend trip done.

Hey, congrats on your new car! Something new, something different to read from all other initial reviews. Nice choice of colour too; (Did you consider that flash red colour? ) Also are you going to upgrade the ICE and tyres, or keep them as they are? Drive safe and enjoy the new car!

I liked the Red. Its very sporty looking. But my dad really liked this color.
Also a couple of months back, I had taken my wife along for a test drive of the Liva. She had liked this color on that car.

I am quite happy with the stock ICE.

I seriously considered swapping the tires as soon as i got the car. But reading up on the http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...-how-they.html (Apollo Acelere - How are they?) I figured they are acceptable.

So dropped that idea. Today I took the car to a little over a 100 kmph on the ORR. There is tire noise at that speed but its quite acceptable.

Congratulations!!! It's a nice car and just like figo the looks grow on you as the day pass by. Being a Beat owner, i would suggest you to take the extended warranty ( if it covers parts like suspension/door latches/ power windows).

Why so? Have you had any major issues that made you feel relieved that you got the extended warranty?

The thing I wanted to get but did not is not mentioned in the list. Its the Start-Stop button for a pure keyless experience. The sales guys informed me it costs just 25,000 or so.
I declined as its not worth it.

Most of the accessories are not needed in my LT variant.

I don't know how to get the Head Unit to display time. It has a clock, but the instruction manual for the ICE and the car don't talk about.
I found the place where I can set it to 12h or 24h. But am yet to see the time.

One thing I miss in the car is the coin holder. There is none.
Another is the express window down for at least the driver side.

Also the windows are pulled up with a lot of power. There is no anti-pinch setting. So I am keeping the power windows for the rear always up and disabled.

The answer is partly yes and partly no. My suspension struts mounting has been changes under warranty, now the A/C radiator fan is giving vibrations higher than normal, the fuel pump was changed under warranty. This is for a 3 year old car with 30,000 kms on the ODO. I strongly recommend one if it does cover major parts.
