Mercedes C220 CDI 40000Kms Report - Team-BHP

This is my dad's car. It was the first delivery of this facelifted C220 for entire Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Everything I wants to write here as already been written by GTO here (Mercedes C220 20,000kms Report. EDIT : Now 50,000 kms update!). I totally agree with what he has to say about this diesel RWD perfect sedan.

Right now its riding on Bridgestone Potenza GIII, 225/55 R16. The company fitted Good Years only lasted for around 28000 KMS. Not that it was completly worn out but looking at the thread depth at that time we didn't feel confident enough to drive on those stock once, so we replaced at 28000 KMS.

Service

The only thing is we did not spend as much as GTO has mentioned in his report.

Others
Wipers were not giving proper clean ups during last moonsoon, so we called up CAMA MOTORS and ask them the price for the pair of wiper blades, and whoolla they quoted us 6500+. SO we called up a friend at Opera House and he has arranged us for 4000. We replace it by ourself (It's pretty easy.)

One of our driver was cleaning the car and we not sure what he did but Front merc marque came off. and we found out we have to replace the whole thing from bonnet. It costed us Rs. 2005 with labour.

Problems
After around six months from the purchase, horn stoped working so went to Cama Motors and they replaced it under warranty.

Apart from that no problems faced so far and really happy with RWD Perfect Sedan.

Hey Mugen,

A neat car ! Well, what's de year of manufacture? and those service charges are pretty ok.

How much have you clocked till date? and you have not mentioned the average fuel consumption.

Will have to look about year of manufacture but Registration date is 25/08/2004.

Right now its 43K and Its C220 CDI Manual.
