the main reason for this is reliabilty as I drive a lot on the highways and if something goes wrong on a highly modified car it wil be very hard to get any help on the highways..

| Senior - BHPian | blackpearl its only a matter of time before supremebaleno lives up to his handle. A baleno without a free flow is like a sailor without a mariners compass/GPS.

Well, I just happened to see the hatch version of the Baleno here in Mannheim a couple of days back!!!! The first half of the car till the drivers door looked exactly like the Baleno we have and then the shae from teh rear door was a little different!

| 80-90 kph in fifth gear. Do that on the highway and you will see FE upwards of 18 KPL even with full load and AC

... two of the Balenos were sedans exactly like what we have here and the third one was a hatch and it was very ugly looking IMHO.. the front end did not gel with the backend at all.Even saw quite a few Hondas which looked exactly like NHC from the front but hatchbacks. could not see the names, looked like HONDA JAZZ, but dont know the name they are sold under in UK.

![]() Another tidbit that I had once read on wikipedia - The Baleno was originally a competitor for the then Civic / Corolla. The Suzuki Cultus did have a hatch version.
