got the car back today.
the bumper was entirely painted free of cost !
also a small scratch done by me was brushed to hide as much as possible.
they also offered to do touchup free but i refused as it will look patchy.

I also got the experience of 6000 voucher in mainland china!!
do the honda/toyota guys get this kind of service?
maybe, who knows. I upgraded from a trusty Indica

Yup... even I got the 6k mainland china voucher. Nice gesture on part of Mitsubishi .

Checkmate try switching tyres to michelin like I did. The ride quality is heavenly after the switch. I realized how crappy the bridgestone OEM tyres are after the switch.

Even I'm thinking of getting the grille painted black and the brake callipers painted red.

This has been 'The Official Lancer Cedia Thread' on TBHP. Now that Honda has raised their game by launching NHC VTEC with ABS/AirBags, I would like to see whether Lancer Cedia can still hold on to its numbers.

I did not like the body colored grill when I first saw the red Cedia sports. I was planning to change it after I took delivery but haven't done it yet.

In fact the body colored grill doesn't look that bad now. I guess I am used to seeing it now everyday.

Still contemplating if I should get it painted black.

Even I got call from from dealer yesterday; they wanted my address to send some voucher. So I guess its Mainland voucher.

Cedia is now even more VFM, with the price increase for Vtech Plus.
The price gap is just 20-25K here in Mumbai and for that you get
1. Bigger engine so more power
2. One of the best Torque in the class
3. Bigger tyres
And add to this, you can get about 30K discount + complementery vouchers.
With City; you will be lucky if you get more than 5K (for new Vtech Plus)

Buggers haven't sent me any vouchers so far Possibly because I bargained 5K more over corporate discount

Select costed me only 7.6k more over Vtec on-road in Bangalore. Not sure what Vtec+ is upto with 62k hike. It will only force people to choose Cedia and even bring Sports model in range.

Ok, my friend got his Cedia from Lathangi couple of days back. He wanted a spacious/comfortable family sedan and was originally looking at City; after some test drives (NHC, Corolla, Octy and even logan) decided on Cedia Select in warm silver colour.
I was happy to join him on test driving Cedia and Corolla (not NHC ). We liked both of them, but Cedia's VFM factor was unbeatable.

My friend is really enjoying his new car.

I need to tell him about Watch and gift voucher.

How would you compare Cedia to that of the Optra Magnum?
With a similar 2.0 ltr engine (Diesel), there are able to produce 120 BHP and a whooping 314 nm of Torque to that of Cedia's 116 BHP and 175 nm of torque

Could be off topic..but I wanted your views!!!

The magnum would undoubtedly be faster than the cedia on the straight line. However the real question is not the how many horses, its nailing those horses down when you go around a corner. Thats where the cedia wins.

Coming to think of it.....
Both of them are FWD
Optra has a lower centre of gravity, so ideally it should corner better than the Cedia.

May in terms of chasis...Cedia is rally bred ...so it should be stiffer and make a difference in the corners....

Contradictions !!

Try test driving the optra magnum... you'll know what I'm talking about. It didn't incite confidence in me at all to push it.

Hey buddy reignofchaos, hope you can find an answer to my question. Cedia is a good car but it comes at 10L. Why doesn't Mitsubishi launch no frills Cedia (no ABS, EBD, Airbags, ) at 8L and beat the hell out of Honda's NHC & Maruti's SX4?
There are lot of people out here who want to buy Cedia, can't afford 10L but can afford 8L?

You can get the Select for 9.3 OTR. I don't think there's any point of a stripped down cedia. Its a D segment car, though the price is now down to C+ levels and when one buys a D segment car, it better have all those features.
