Anyone in B'lore who's interested in Logan's FFE, let me know. Automech guys are looking for a donor (as in a Logan P owner, who can help them out with the FFE's development process). I was willing, but I don't live in B'lore.

Default Logan - We like u...........

In my opinion, Logan is a practical car. The market positioning is right; the price is an affordable range to a middle class Indian and it gives reasonable quality, comfort and safety. What else you need more?

For me the looks are OK. Even though Renault has much better cars like Laguna (See the snap shot), the price to proposition is good.

Compared to all other sedans in this Segment (Esteem, Indigo, Ikon), I feel Logan is a better choice.

Worldwide, everybody accepts Renault cars as reliable and easy to maintain.

I like Logan very much, May be…………this is going to be my next car.

Will try to look for you in an around Malad (Mumbai). I am sure they would certainly have something there. Will keep you posted if I get something. But for sure it looks awesome. And since it was a black Logan, it instantly reminded me of you.

OT: Time to upload some new snaps on Mahindra Logan website.

Default New shoes

Unsatisfied with the stock JK Vectras' ability in cornering, finally upgraded to Bridgestone MY-01s.

Wanted to go for Potenza GIIIs in 195/65/R14 size, but was unable to get them anywhere. Many tyre dealers told me that they are now out of production. And that was the only tyre available in this size.

So had to come back to the stock size i.e. 185/70/R14. My choices were Michelin Pilot Primacy, Yoko A.drive, A300, etc.

But finally chose the MY-01s, liked their tread pattern. And after fitting them and driving for two days, I was glad that I made this decision.

- The steering felt much lighter, more accurate.
- The cornering grip has improved a lot.
- No decrease in comfort. I went through the same road I take everyday to office, and found no change. Not even on the speed-breakers.
- Did not notice any tyre noise. But since, the tyres are new, will have to wait and see.

And this was what I wanted.. better grip without sacrificing comfort. Will post a 5000km review and keep you guys updated.

This tyre is not officially available in India. Its a grey import and costed me Rs.2400 per piece.

p.s. thanks to kpzen and xehaust for their valuable inputs.

Some pics:

Hey, interesting to read all the reviews>> car, tyres et al as I nearly bought a Renault last week, only to plonk for the SSkoda Fabia at the last moment (hv just inked a starter review)

Too early to comment on the decision, but I was impressed by the NVH and dynamics of the diesel Logan. That and a very impressively sized hindquarters that would hold a baby grand piano. However, the parking bay in my parents' home just wld not have accommodated her French derriere :-)

Good luck

NO WAY MAN !! !!

Traction rating on the tire itself isn't AA , checked them out myself forgot what they are rated at but not AA. Check them out on the bridgestone au site.

PS : for a performance oriented driver do not buy them .

Even I was not looking at outright performance. I don't intend to burn rubber on the tracks! I just wanted something better than the stock tyres, which I think the MY-01s are.
