But inside city and in bumper to bumper traffic, the glove compartment does shudder if the clutch is not released properly. No squeaks from the doors or the seats, as of now

| Senior - BHPian | It will last even more. Specially the diesel logans would clock that much kms in 2-3 years time. (In paper classifields, i check for accent CRDi and most would have run 75k-1L + kms in 2-3 years)

| Hi Everybody - My "Independence Day Wishes" to all of you. I had taken the Logan for another 900+ kms journey this weekend. To answer the question "What is the mileage with AC". 19kmpl. Almost 100% AC and a lot of 3rd and 4th gear drives for about 100~120kms. Max speed of 110kmph (120 in the GQ but for a short distance) Somebody cast an evil eye. And i received the first dent in my Car. This stupid bus was standing at the extreme left of a narrow road. I was honking all the way. When i was about to enter the gap, this guy turns right - No hand signal / turn indicators. Panic brakes applied..Wheels locked. Car drifted towards the bus and broke my left Rear View mirror (Glass did not break, but something inside the door that holds the RVM broke) and got two dents on the left wheel arches . Somebody had razed the shrubs along the corner of the road and when the tyres went over them, i lost traction. Had an argument with the driver who immediatey accepted his fault and begged for his inability to pay up.The dents are minor (will try and upload pics later). Have informed my service people about this immediatly and got an assurance that this can be settled through the insurance route, if it warrants (read - cost of repairs being high) Post this trip, the car is ready for its first service and have appointment for Thursday. The booking experience (being the first time) was quite nice. I asked for a service pickup from office, but was informed that the service centre was new (For Logan) and had only one driver. There was also an assurance that going ahead, this should improve. Since the logan has done extremely well in July, India Garage is hosting a dinner at the "Buharis Blue Lagoon Hotel", Neelankarai, Chennai tomorrow and i have been invited. Way to go. |

| Senior - BHPian | sorry to know about the incident. It seems like most of us are destined to receive their first dent pretty soon after buying their vehicles and it surely works as a goodluck charm to have a small dent sit on your car.19kmpl is pretty good mileage with 100% AC. Do also check the same when your speeds go up as your car completes run-in. I too got the same mileage last week in my viva crdi with same speeds. But, when i do my usual manaic type of driving going up to 150kmph-160kmph with rpms hovering around 4k, i get about 17kmpl.

| BHPian | Nice review pugram! I never liked the Logan before, but now I'm beginning to like it a bit and building up the likeness. In my city there's a black Logan with black glasses and bling bling wheels. It looks good! It looks boxy from outside yeah, but its actually spacious, and the instrument cluster is great from my side tho the orange would be distracting at night. Impressive mileage figures, keeping in mind that its a new car prior to 1st service and run-in incomplete. Great patience in keeping the car below 2,500 rpm for the 1st 2,000 km. EDIT: But I'm sorry to hear about the dent & the mirror. Thank god its minor. cya A

| Car back from first Service. Basically, nothing is done in the first service. Checking electricals, brakes and other nitty gritties and a good water wash is their concept of a First service. No oil change either. Oil change only at 2nd Service 10k kms. But the service experience was good. And the best thing was this - The moment you enter the service centre, a guy out there hands you a bottle of water (200ml) for you to quench your thirst. I thought that was really good. I got prompt calls from the service advisor on the status of my car and the vehicle was delivered around the promised time. Only problem was the location of the service centre, which is away from the city. But still reachable by public transport. I have suggested for a pick-up service which they are not yet into because this particular service centre is new. The bill was read out for me and each and every item listed in the bill was explained. I was also asked to sign over a "Bill explained" line. The dents in the wheel arch and the door (door glass used to get stuck up on winding, though the dent was minor) were done very good. Only scratches remain in the front left headlamp. The panel above the wheel and the left door were re-painted in full. Total cost 12500, including labour and taxes. These guys even charge for the Masking tape & steel blades they used for scraping. Decided to leave the left ORVM as it was. Thanks guys for your wishes. It was a frightening experience to find your car sliding against your wishes. Thanks again |

| Senior - BHPian | Bottle of water? Thats nice! Seems Mahindra-renault is keen to have good service as a plus point for the Logan. However, the 12.5k seems expensive. Any idea of the individual charges? ![]()

The Dent removal and painting was at 2 places. The panel above the left wheel and the front left door. The breakup is something like 6000 for the front panel and 5000 for the door(since the dent was minimal, i guess)
