Not really, as muscles require work out engine also. Right loading is the idea NOT babying.

dont worry too much. the car will be fine as long as we dont abuse it.

PS diesel is your friend dont be jittery

Today I filled up full tank for the first time, and put the got air checked, and set it to 35/32 Front/Rear as opposed to recommended 36/33 on the car.(hot summer, air expansion theory)

After the fuel fill, I somehow got a feeling that the pull which I was experiencing yesterday was not there today. Extra weight??? or tyre pressure?

35/32 Tyre pressure boss.

Due to the engineering the full tank weight makes a negligible difference.

For example 30/32 gives you the drifting advantage

I have 90/100 lamps on my Indica, with relay kit from JDA brand for last 3 yrs. total cost was 550 with bulbs minus labor.

But I will suggest you get hold of BOSCH relay kit for 90/100, ceramic holders and Phillips rally bulbs and get it fitted from a good auto electrician. I know one in Gurgaon, just after Atul Kataria chowk, on sheetla mata road.

No cut on wires are required.

I can check for the BOSCH kit as I saw a BOSCH shop on my way to home to sector 4, in Gurgaon.

I will try to check it today, I think Bosch kit includes everything. Else its difficult to find the ceramic holders. Though I am running 90/100 on stock holders without any problem.

OT: I am in Infinity Tower, sent you PM for my sametime ID.

Hi Horsepower, I have never gone to this shop, but it has BOSCH dealer written on it.
Its on Old Railway road, Straight when you are coming from Rajiv Chowk. Just after shivaji round about.

I will try to check it today, as I am also looking for genuine bosch wipers for my Indica.

Default Swift Gear Issue

For some time I have having slight issue with my car ( Swift VDI). Originally I was unable to switch to reverse gear in a single shift. no matter how hard I tried , it will not be engage, But I had a work around . I would switch it to natural and press accelerator little, then I would have been able to switch to reverse. Now from couple of days the problem has also effected the first gear , although it does not occurs frequently. I had reported the reverse gear issue on my third service, but they (Bright motors New Delhi) were unable to rectify it.

Please note that I do press clutch to the hilt while chaining the gear , but its released real quick.

Can fellow Bhpians ( Eddy , Jaggu ) by virtue of their experience suggest me what seems to be issue (this being my first car ) and also refer me to a good service station around West Delhi.

4200-4500 Rs. for the 4th service. It is advisable to have Fuel filter changed and the Brake shoes cleaned.

Missed this post, hope it was solved and nothing major. reverse i can understand if its lil tight, but not first gear. can be a synchronizer issue.

hi! Eddy,

I gave my car for the 4th service today at Apra in Gurgaon. I have been given estimate of 5k for it.

Paid Service 700
Oil and Oil filter change 1300
Gear oil change 900
Coolant change 600
Brake Oil change 300
Air filter and Diesel filter 1200(whole Diesel filter assembly is not required to be replaced, Maruti is supplying element individually now. Earlier it used to be)

My dicky lock is not working, I guess it will be changed under warranty.

Will get the car around 4:00 PM.

I spoke to my service advisor in fairdeal cars. He also gave a similar extimate give or take a few 100s.

1300 for oil and filter change ? It was 1000 bucks the last time I changed it. 650+350
