Sekharr,
If you are running Synth, you don't need to service every 5K. The only thing they do at 5K is change oil. I'm now giving my NHC for service every 10K.

Thanks for the update. You were given the same option what I was given wehn I went for the 35000kms service, both about the synthetic as well as the service interval. But when I went for the 40000kms service, I was told that I do have to take the synthetic oil and the 5000kms interval.

Either I will have to make a noise in my regular service centre or change to a different one next time.

Thanks for the tip!
The Capital Honda guys at Chennai, have this thing about servicing every 3 months - even if the car has not run much -they keep calling up on mobile endlessly, day after day - even tracking me down when I was abroad - until one day you finally cave in and send the car for service. Moral: Never give your mobile no., or else, install some software on mobile to block that number!!

Well, you cannot blame them. They have to show a minimum daily turnover. The Hondas are so solid you can run them eternally without servicing.
But please do service it at recommended intervals (5K for mineral oil and 10K for Synthetic). The first real service they do is at 40K.

Please check your service booklet. In that it is mentioned as 5000kms or SIX months whichever is earlier and I stick to that, though my 5000kms happens in either 3 or 4 months.

What I mean is that I don't follow the 3 month routine.

Default Gadgets!

Hi,

The gadgets that I usually have on my City:
My new CVT - ownership experience-image_632.jpg
Waiting at the Kundannor junction for the signal to change! The navigator is just just tracking me and not navigating.

The rear view mirror decided that it does not need its glasses:

Without that plain looking glass, that ceases to be a rear view mirror!

Are you sure what you have in the navigator is Kundanoor Junction? From the map it looks like the Vytilla signal.

I have a Nokia 5800 XM and it is a perfect fit in the speedo dial. Will post a pic soon. Very useful for GPS. Stands available in India are very flimsy. Only problem is the battery runs out in about 6-8 hrs of GPS usage. Used it for navigation from Tirunelveli to Bangalore yesterday.

Thanks in advance.

Only a car charger helps and then the fit may not be perfect.

Have fixed it back with Fevibond.

What could be those 'rainbow coloured' discolurations? When the camera is on, there is no problem, though!

I am bang opposite Padmaja Venugopal's House. For others, she is the erstwhile Congree leader K Karunakaran's daughter.

Those are points where the LCD is being stressed. Maybe mounting clips/screw points?

Thanks.

But if you take a look at the picture a couple of pots before this, there are no clips or screws.

The glue was put on the frame and could that glue give that rainbow effect?

Any solutions?

Well, if the LCD is being pressed from both sides, the glue points will be raised when compared to the rest of the frame, so the LCD will be pressed more at those points.

Hi,

This is what a combination of factors left their impressions:

My new CVT - ownership experience-image_753.jpg

My new CVT - ownership experience-image_754.jpg

I should not have overtaken the bus at that particular spot and he should have watched his mirror before coming back to the road and I should have stuck my policy of 'no horn' and stopped instead of sounding the horn and continuing.
