I know oil flushing is highly debatable topic but i just need some expert opinions who has done it.
But why oil change 5000kms, when the manual says 10000kms? It's an overkill.
My car is close to 92k kms with 10000kms oil change interval, and it's just fine.

I don't know Ankush but i have been following same practice since i got the car. I feel mineral oil should be changed at 5K even @Jaggu suggested same in this thread.
MASS just informed me that they dont do the engine oil flushing. SA advised me there is no requirement as well as your car serviced regularly.

These engines can happily run on mineral oil upto 10k kms between oil change.
I have even seen some people change the oil every 20k kms but still the engine crossed 2lac kms.

Flushing is not needed if the oil is changed regularly.

I presume it is the 1lac kms service? What about fuel filter and air filter?

Air filter change interval is 10K kms while fuel filter's is 20K kms. Why didn't you change the air filter then?

And no other replacements recommended at 1,00,000 kms?

Yes that's correct. But he showed me the air filter and it looked fine and said can go fine for next 5K hence didnt change.

at 90K following were done.
-Rear Jumper replaced
-Rear brake liners
-Front suspension overhaul
-EGR valve cleaning
-Air filter replaced
-Oil and Oil Filter replaced
-Coolant replaced
-Rear doors latch replaced as both lock were stuck.

I dont know what should be done at 1 lacs ? i asked for timing chain replacement but he said it is not required.

Congrats mate. attaboy with 1L kms. Man I wish to emulate the same.
Flushing need not be done if you are using mineral oil and changing every 5k.
Cheers

Yesterday being a holiday took to installing a front bumper skirt which is not being provided by Maruti anymore.

Details here:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offici...ml#post3525042 (Maruti Swift : Test Drive & Review)

So while i sat down to the above ^^ i found some oil misting on a rubber hose going from the intercooler to the engine. This prompted me to do an impromptu intercooler cleaning session. Removed the IC and drained it, there was around 15-20ml of oil present in the IC.

No not required at 20k. And it should cost a lot lesser. Costed me about 1250 when I got it done about 2 years back.

EGR cleaning can be done once you face an issue. you can identify EGR blockage by reduction in pickup and black soot while accelerating. I got mine cleaned at 40K kms and till date I have covered 120K+ kms and yet to get it cleaned the second time.
