Coolant addition is for AC. Usually done it the car smells too much.

Rear fog lamp:

The way to switch it on is to first turn on the headlamps, and after that there is a small knob on the same lever. You need to turn that. You'll get the rear fog lamp on. It is the other side of the reverse lamp.

But IMHO, wrt rear fog lamp, you're not missing much.

Right, not only for money, even to have comfortable ride, I already planned to try out 33 (as recommended) or 34. I will try and post my experience.

You are getting good mileage, cool!

Service was done and paid Rs 400+300 for gear oil and coolent additive. (Not sure what was that?). Rs 500 for wheel alignment. (Total 1300Rs with tax)

No top up required for engine oil, break oil or gear oil as well as coolent.

After service so far 200km are done without any issue.

Now I can notice at least 6 SX4 cars in my locality.

Overall good car!
You too getting great mileage, I thought of doing wheel alignment by 10K kms, looks like my decision was right !!

No this was not for AC, but he told some chemical compound added to radiator liquid which I refered as coolant. Not related to car smell. Bill has some description number against that amount.

I can see there are three lights at each side of rear.
LHS
  1. break light + parking light - red colored
  2. Indicator light - orange/yellow
  3. reverse parking light - clear and bright white
RHS
  1. break + parking light - red color
  2. Indicator light - orange yellow
  3. This is not-so-bright, red colored light supposed to be rear fog lamp.
Correct me if I am wrong. I did not notice any light turning ON by that specific switch while head lights are on in higher beam position. (in forward gear)

This wasn't switch in high beam position. In stick where you turn on headlights (parking & headlights), note that another small switch (inner side) which can be turned on/off - this is for rear fog light.

Hello all, I am planning to do my second service from motorcraft noida. As i was not satisfied with Rohan Motors Greater Noida where i did the first service. If any body has any contact in Motorcraft Noida pls let me know.
I am having quite a few issue to deal with during my second service. It has done only 2100 Km after six month.
1. Clutch vibration even after replacing the defective gear part.
2. Revesrse Gear Stuck most of the time.
3. AC not effective.
4. Small Dents and small scratches near left headlamp.
5. Wheel alignment(is it necessary).
6. outer body wax polishing .
7. interior cleaning .
8 shampoo clean interiors.
9. Head Lamps are not adequate planning to change it without voiding the warranty.
Pls suggest about the Head Lamps which one to put on.

I suggest don't go for Wheel alignment now, yours just 2100 Kms done. It's good to do it at 10K Kms.

I use Philips Rally 100/90, works pretty good. Please follow this dedicated thread on auto lighting http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...ting-here.html (Auto Lighting thread : Post all queries about automobile lighting here)

Dear Amitbjha,
I also went to Motor Craft, Noida this month for my first sevice. Before this I had been going to Rohan Motors, Noida with my old Maruti Omni but was not satisfied. Read about MotorCraft on this website and they did a fairly good job. You could ask for Vimal Kant Awasthi, their Works Manager, tel.9810542222. Mr Desai, the owner, is a car enthusiast himself
Good luck !!

Yup Relay is needed, it comes as complete set - relay, bulbs, wire. Warrenty won't be void, I confirmed with dealer. Please check my threads on long term reports, I mentioned the cost in one of those 2 threads, I don't rememeber it off my head now.

In my second service i have complained about unsatisfied head light quality to my dealer [Popular vehicles], They offered me to upgrade it to Philips Rally 100/90. [No warranty void]. It costs Rs. 1450/- [Including Relay, bulbs & Fitting charges]. Now i feel the difference.

I got the headlamps changed as well. It cost me 955. during my second service, the MASS guy got it done from a non-MASS mechanic, because the MASS people are not supposed to do it. :-)

With SX4, one of the problems I have felt is that of the headlamp leveller, I put it at low and leave it there, so when I go on the highways, I forget the leveller and think that the light is not sufficient. Many a times, its taken me a long time to recognise that I need to change the leveller.

I do opposite of it, I keep changing leveller until I find comfortable position.
