Thank you,

maybe i'll change this pic for the avtaar some time later.

Once my BEAST flies like your hummer i'll put it as my avtaar.

I some how prefer my BUG to be there for time being

Haven't u seen that Safari AD in which The King has given a more better fly than that of the Hummer

Replace the Bug with The King and be The King

I don't like to call it a The Beast i like to call it The King

Gowda79,

Thank you for you inputs,

I prefer having my Beetle as my avtaar rather than my Beast, there are few reasons to cite.

1) The Beetle has more emotional value for me compared to the Beast,If you look into my thread of Beetle restoration you'll know why.

2) Beetle is more of an iconic car and carries a lot of character and history behind it.

I love my Safari as well but prefer the Beetle on the avtaar as i feel that's the only car that brings out the true spirits in me.

Not being offensive, thank you for suggestion.

Your Safari Avtaar is great, add them to your gallery and have not seen your post on this.

Pls visit my gallery for my Beast pics.

Yes this is a BEASTLY KING

Has anyone does this in a Safari, though? Would like to know the cost...

This can be done easily,

But But, i prefer to design it so well that it doesnt look apart.

Still trying to get this seat look like a part of the car.

Will achieve it some time soon, and let you guys know.

I also have a 12 inch sub to be a part of the whole thing.

Gowda,

Indian iconic vehicle-I agree every part of that.

Helped in making ride easy-Yes its true no other vehicle comes close to the Safari in terms of ride Quality.

Respected-Ya sure its respected.

thanks,

I still want my Bug as my avtaar.

Yes kadam,

I agree, its a matter of everyone's choice.

Thinking seriously on the new Safari 2.2,

Lets see how it comes about.

Kadam,

Good pics, i feel your Beast requires some nice set of Wheels.

I mean alloys.

Nice set of wheels !

Yes already 60 k gone with the ICE set up.

Would not think i'll do any thing on the Beast in the near Future.

It First requires neat set of seat covers and a nice polish.

Would like to know any nice polishing guys in Bangalore?

There are some swirl marks on the bonnet.

Using Amway car polish. Shine retains till the next wash, dissapears imdtly later.

Default hey

hey kadam,

really nice pics man and i love the colour of the car.

this is an lx version right? where did you get the fog lights put in from and did you need to change the entire panel of switches on the inside? the guys at my dealership are giving me some bulls**t about the fogs costing about 1400 each and then the relays and switch panel a further 3 k odd.

would appreciate a heads up as i get mine delivered on the 12th so need to take a call now...

cheers.

Hi Buddy,

Thanks for your comments.

Mine is an EX version , and i still havent got a Fog light on them.

You need to place them in such a way that no air flow gets affected.

See , Firstly Safari has an Intercooler and the radiator and the a/c condensor placed in the front.

People go in for fog lights for the sake of it.and the whole airflow structure for these devices change.

They work like constrictors deviating air away for the intercooler and the radiator.

And mainly the aerodynamics of these car tend to change with the use of fog lamps.

For city use and short haul its ok but on the highway..! not sure so keeping it on hold.

Still finding out ways to fix them.

Just dont go in for the sake of having a fog light.

Pls read the after effects of using them.

Pavan, I think "bite the bullet" is referring to the fog lamps that come built in the bumper of the EX and VX model and not a separate fitment. I guess since yours is an EX, the fog lamps came with the truck and so you wouldnt be able to answer his query.

nail on the head stuff 'strangerintown' thanks...

yeah pavan, thanks for the heads up though dude. me confused since i forgot that the ex's of the 3.0 l did not have body coloured bumpers...

i wasn't referring to the huge garish nonsense 'SOME' people install in the name of fog lamps - almost as if they are all set to go deep into the lonely plains of the masai mara @ 4 am the next morning

each to his own though and no offence intended to anyone out there who does have the aftermarket fogs installed... just that personally - i ain't a fan.

cheers amigos
