maybe you could give me the extra 3 litres, thats all my swift needs.

serously speaking,I have 3 litres of synthetic sitting around from the left over cans used to fill the endeavour and the verna.. I've put it all into 1 can. the oldest oil in that can would be 2 months old. is it a good idea using that oil?

or should I just use it as a flush?

i dont think it should be a problem as long as they are the same brand same oil. buy a separate engine flush like ows or something.

Akshay1234: Sir, 30,000kms on such a recent machine is no mean feat: congratulations. I applaud your diligence in driving and posting and driving and posting...all for the benefit of the forum. I haven't read all, but I'm sure there's a HUGE learning there. Toyota aught to sign you as independent tester-cum-brand-ambassador!

By damping do you mean acoustics management? Is it prescribed for all cars? Expensive?

Sort of but not exactly. This has more to do with managing the rattles/squeaks on our poorly built cars. If you're dissatisfied with the way your car's interior rattles or makes weird noises get it done otherwise not much need.

Also this is needed more when your car has a serious ICE setup where the doors, C-pillar, boot etc. are rattling/vibrating & that interferes with the music & so needs to be damped.

And I thought a rattling and vibrating car was something to be proud of. Something in the lines of
" gaddi mein boofer bhi hai aur vhibrator bhi hai "

also in the innova at low rpms in some gears there is resonance which can get quite irritating. hope fully that will lessen.

shuvd - lol

update on top speed. took it to 160. it reaches 140 surpsrisingly quickly. kept up with a verna though i dont know how hard it was being pushed. from 140 to 150 is also quick and from there till 160 is a boring wait. the car was perfectly stable at those speeds and even took the expressway turns at 140-145 without a jitter. just increased my respect for this car.
