because a stock filter doesnt clog up like this in 2 months. the green filter is stopping more dust, hence getting clogged quicker. the stock filter lets in a lot of dust therefore stays open longer.(thats what i think) but i'm no expert.

installed new, or after a clean,it works like a dream. amazing mid range and high end. but once it gets clogged, the engine will refuse to climb the rev range.

No,the filteration of a stock is as good as a green/k&n only difference being that it is more restrictive to the flow of air. Also it doesn't get clogged that easily because of where and how it is positioned.

rippergo
A stock filter is always the best one to safeguard your engine. Thats usually the problem which people often cite for using something else to get more air into the engine.
However, I haven't used the Green Cotton thing and cannot comment on that.

rippergo,
The special filters designed to let more air in might also let more dust particles. There are a lot of discussions on this. Do a search in the forum.
A stock filter is the best when it comes to 'filtering' air and protecting your engine.

hey guys. I have got the stock replacemant filter from petes to try out and see whether that too gets clogged so quickly. Ill install that in a day or so and will upload pictures when my home internet starts working. I also will take some videos of 3rd gear 20 to 80 runs and 4th gear 40 to 100 runs. You guys might find that interesting.

now that i doubt.

OK, Ratan Tata may not admit it publicly but his senior minions do. Automotive News Europe dated 16.10.06 reported that in 2006, Tata set up a technical center at Warwick University, 5km south of Coventry, central England, to take advantage of the automotive expertise in a region that until recently had a thriving car industry.

The relevant statement was by Mr.Prakash Telang, Tata's vice president of light and small commercial vehicles, who said this is essential to raising Tata's quality. He said that on a scale of 1 to 10, with Toyota representing 10, Tata quality registers only a 3.5 or four. He also said that we're aiming for seven to 7.5 within the next five years. Over a period of time, we should be able to come out with vehicles that are quite acceptable to the European market.

On MG Rover, Ratan Tata said to Automotive News Europe that `"It's been a good learning experience. Some customers got angry about things like squeaks and rattles, but we took it in a positive spirit. We know that what the [European] customer is asking for today, Indians will be asking for in three or four years."

Akshay Nice Review!!

A very well maintained car.

OT question: I am 6' 2" tall and I am not happy with the under thigh support in Hyundai Getz driving seat. I have pushed the seat all the way to the back. How do you manage in your Getz?

Can this be rectified by the seat upholstery guys?
