Got both first and second free services done from Manipal Motors. Airport Road, Bangalore. I would not rate the service as excellent, but I have no complaints either. VFM : 5/5

I feel that the car has enough power for a sedate driver. I have felt a slight sluggishness with 4 adults and A/C on, but nothing to worry about. The 1.6 is obviously more sporty to drive. If you are a person who likes to redline on every gear, take part and win traffic light drags then this car is not for you. Go for the 1.6.

Cheers,
Rajan

Very interesting. That is aLOT of touring. Why no diesel if you were gonna do soooo much running?

Indica Dicor would've had as good service/more driveable experience

Never planned on so much running. I guess the running will go down from now on..

Cheers,

Rajan

Well that is actually more than 100 kms a day. The car was in the bodyshop for 10 days

Nope. SLX comes with steel rims and 165/80 goodyear tubeless tyres.

Cheers,

Rajan

First time i am hearing someone telling this car has adequate power. But the mileage figures are true as i know many guys getting over 14+ with A/c on.

I agree with you if someone dont want much power to drive. When i TD 1.1 i felt the same.1.6 ofcourse it is sporty but i am not comparing with 1.1 and cannot still 1.1 has adequate power for a man who dont want much power. It is a decent solid car.

How can you even survive in a Palio 1.1? It's almost same like how I survived in a .8ltr Alto after I came back to India. But I had to go thru a series of performance mods to get it moving. (Hundreds of )

1.6 would have cost 45000 more.

You cannot turn off the engine with highbeam on unintentionally. So, you are protected from power surges in the battery when you crank and blown fuses.

Cheers,
Rajan
