now that you have removed the dynamisation kit have you noticed any difference? is there a drop in power or is it the same?
my guess is you might find a small difference when it hotter like in the afternoon or on a very sunny day.

I have a piece of this with me. As I said earlier, you can pick it from me.

Opppssssssss... just saw your post. Apollo should be just fine. How much did it cost you?

Not anything to my notice. but at the same time I have not driven in afternoons/hot sunny days. I think one reason for not having any 'significant and noticeable ' difference is that the green storm is enclosed in a casing/cover. That would help.

No. Anyone can pick it from me. The ONLY condition -- will give it to a Palio 1.6 (any model: GTX, S10, Adv, etc..) owner/driver only.

Is this offer still open?

I own S10 with FFE, and Green Strom. But I am wondering if it would really make that difference......

BTW where is it sucking air from? Is it from fender, or from bumper?

To be honest, it may not make much of a difference. The Green Storm is already covered and well protected from heat in the engine bay.

The pipe goes in where the stock air intake pipe was. So it sucks in air from the just above the front right fender.

Cheers,

Several OWS products were lying with me for last 2 weeks and today I got a chance to get their magic done on the Palio 1.6 S10

This is what was done:
  • OWS Engine Flush
  • OWS Synthetic Engine Oil
  • OWS Engine Protector
  • OWS Fuel Treatment
  • Spark Plugs
Prior to this,
  • The car was idling at 1200 RPM (when started)
  • Engine had started sounding coarse ( was time for engine oil change)
  • Was not starting in 'half key crank' (whatever that means)
Now the idling is ~800 RPM and engine sounds super smooth. The car feels very rev friendly now and has become fun to drive again. Also, the car starts in that 'half crank' now

The old oil came out pitch black and the old spark plugs were all jet black and past their life.

Must say that I am very very happy with the OWS treatment and money well spent.

Look forward to happy days driving the S10.

khan_sultan: did you do the mods to make the car looks meaner and more aggressive?
Could you please post pics if you did?

khan,

Since this thread is already existing I didnt want to start a new one as my queries are closely aligned with this thread postings.

Now coming to the my queries, I am planning to fit performance Green filters for my Cheavy AVEO 1.4(sedan). Though I have read a lot about the marginal difference in the performance, I would like to try it, as the lower rpm power of my AVEO is a pain during city drives.
My queries :

1) Why do you recommend STORM over WIND ?
2) Is CAI achieved if I just buy the filters or do i need the dynamization kit that I believe is a plain pipe placed away from the engine ?
3) Will the dyn. kit bring about a singficant performance improvement within the marginal improvement the filter as a whole would bring about to the car.

Thanks.

1. IF at all you are planning to go this route, I would suggest that you go for the Storm.

2. IMHO, NO need for that pipe costing some 4K. Just the filter + cover is ok. Also, if you at a later date you manage to get a hose/pipe of exact dia, then use that

3. I think it is only to route the air intake point to a place which could be cooler than engine bay. In that perspective any hose/pipe should do. There is NOTHING magical about the dynamization kit. It's just a pipe with waves & thin steel rings..

Hope this helps
