I have changed the rear tray. Check this thread , i made a board for the rear speakers . But they are placed very tight using small bits of tire tubes on the edges of the board.
The sound comes more when someone sits in the rear seat .i folded them and unfolded again , but cant figure the source of the sound.

Bosch windtones are the ones in Skoda right ? . The sound almost the same. Stebel horns were also available. But since Roots is well known here , any repairs can be serviced easily. Cost - Rs 460 (pair)

Same story here , they didnt rectify the rattles. May be the next time when we go for service we will ask the service engineer to sit at the rear and hear the sound. What about the burr sound ?? Were you able to find a solution .

undead,
I checked lionheart's(joben) car and there is no Burr sound. I think my car has an issue. During first service, hyundai service guys told me that its common with all hyundai CRDi cars. I was not happy with their reply. Now i will go back and hit them hard.

The source of rattle is the rear seat locking mechanism OR the rear parcel tray sitting on the locks.

Do the following :

1. Remove rear parcel tray and drive the car.
2. If you get the rattle still, then fold the rear seat also. Drive the car again over the same circuit.
3. If you still get the noise, then the problem is in your rear suspension bushes. Get them changed and the noise will disappear. However, be wary, the service guys just will lubricate the bush for a quick short term solution. Ask to see the replaced / defective bush.

Now, if the issue is with Point #1, above, then the rattle is because of the rear parcel try. What one needs to to is:

A. Take insulation tape [any color]
B. Tape the edge of the tray - the portion which sits in the slot provided. Just tape 1 round on both sides.
C. check / TD the car again, if rattle persists, GOTO STEP B.

You will solve the problem usually with a couple of rounds of taping the edges.

For point #2, the problem area is with the rear seat locking mechanism. It is usually a double lock mechanism which needs to be "banged" hard for the lock to fully engage. Normally, we all love our cars and so pussy foot the same, which leads to the rattle.

If this is the problem, then tell your A.S.S guys to lubricate the locking mechanism to set right with a simple click!

A very rare instance will be for one to replace the locking mechanism.

Hope this helps in solving your rear rattle issue.

Keep revvin

One of my friend also told me the 3rd point which you mentioned. But he said , we can confirm it only after checking it. I will try Step B too. But i am sure that the speaker boards are fine. Its fitted very tight. I pasted some rubbes tubes on the sides and fitted so that it stays firm .

It may stay firm, but give a tiny irritating rattle when we go on bad roads! anyways, you are the best judge!

Then, its your suspension bush that is worn out. Please ask them to replace the bush and not just lubricate it. Lubrication is a short term solution and yuo will have the same issue after 1000 kms.

Cheers

I got them at Kasi Chetty Street , Parrys .
Dont put 607C in front. go for 507C . Else u need to fix a separate ring . 507C is correct. Fitting the 637 in the door pads itself ?
