In most cases it turns out to be lesser than the estimate.
I bought it on April 23rd . So just 5 months old . So , may get around 80% of the estimate as Insurance amount ?

I am glad that the parts are available. When that guy said , he needs to ask the Chennai plant regarding the price of the parts and availability(since its Getz CRDi) , i got a little worried. I dont mind if i had to pay some Rs.15000 from my pocket. I just want my Getz to get back to original status.

The Hood does not need to be replaced for sure.

I completely agree
If possible try to enquire with other service centre. Also as pointed by iraghava, no need to change the hood.

Even if they do change the hood, it will be covered under insurance. Undead should not be worried about changing or repairing anything which is covered under insurance. Its the insurance guys who will argue with the service center guys whether to change or just repair. The service center guys would like to carry out maximum repairs, but its the insurance guys who will decide what repairs to approve of and what not to.

Estimates are always blown up, and later cut by the surveyor.
Expect final estimate of around 50-55K.
After insurance you will need to pay around 8-10K max

I called up the service guy and asked him to remove the Wheel and Tires from the list. He said , he just gave it in the estimate for Insurance purpose and he wont charge those items in the bill and i can use that amount to buy a new alloy . Is that possible?

What crap! Is the guy an idiot or is he brain dead?? Doesn't he know that the amount finally paid by the Insurance company would be the billed amount! Not the amount mentioned in the estimate!!

Undead !!
U are not gonna gain anything here.

There are three parties involved in an accidental case. Insurance co, customer and service center. Only party which will make profit or gain will be the Service center(body shop). Other two parties will only be at loss.
So, forget about gaining anything and don't get excited on everything the supervisor tells u.

Are you talking about the tie up ? The Insurance compant doesnt have a tie up with the Hyundai company. So i need to pay the bill first and then later get the cheque from the insurance company.

Can you explain me about the cashless option ? Is it like the Insurance Co. pays the amount directly to the Hyundai and the I need to pay only the balance?

In that case it may prove to be a bit difficult to get a few repairs approved and will involve a lot of running around by you. Did you not have any other insurance company providing the cashless facility when you bought the car.
If possible the next time you renew the insurance go for a company having a tie up with the service centre.

Yes its exactly like that. The insurance company pays the service center directly and you need to pay the rest.
