Default 22800 Kms Paid Service Done...

Actually this service was due on 19000 kms , but i was little busy roaming around in search of my next used car and had no time to give the car for check up. . Before leaving for service i went to chennai and booked my next monster ' Elantra CRDi' . During the trip the car touched 170kmph , but the engine wasnt as free as it used to be. The acceleration was little less than before. Guess it was the air filter needs to be changed and time for oil service.
After the service , i am pretty happy with the performance. Did the tire rotation , balancing and alignment at the tire shop.

Here are the service details.

Undead.
Is that the 4th or 5th service ?
Didn't they ask you for transaxle oil & Fuel tank air filter replacement ?

Do u u ask them to put these fuel injector cleaner and additives during service or is it mandatory out here..
I have noticed that down south most service centres put them whereas up north they don't even mention about them.

Nope..They didnt ask me about the transaxle oil & Fuel tank air filter . I didnt ask them about the addictives or fuel injector cleaner. They changed them as it may be mandatory according to their service manual .

Thats it now i really want the petes on my car :P.
And about the additives it is not mandatory. There are 2 additives that are added - one at the time of oil flush to flush efficiently and the other the cumbustion enhancer. These are recommended and are not mandatory. All tridents here at bangalore do this as a part of the service.

Cheers/Shyam

What is mandatory is what is listed in the service requirements in your owners / service / warranty manual.

None of the additives are mandatory and are not necessary to maintain the warranty of the car.

Please check about the manual regarding what KP mentioned.

Transaxle oil and the fuel tank air filter replacement has been mentioned in owners manual.
So, i asked them to do so when i gave my car for 4th service. In response to that, the service centre ppl had no clue about the fuel tank air filter and for the transaxle oil they said its synthetic so replacement will be done at 80k kms..
