Try Carnation, if there is one in your city. In the south, I would recommend TVS workshops. Their painting job is on par with most OEM. And it will be definitely lighter on your pocket too.

I don't feel the need for spending such an amount on replacing doors.
If you see the pics, only a small portion of door is rusted. Rest of the area is fine.

Replacing the doors for removing this rust ?! Damn these service guys are crazy

I would say you hang on for a while and then get the whole door painted.
Till then you can have some sticker work on it.

Similar rust is on my car as well, but luckily its inside the the wheel well.

@lejhoom and kp,

I am told that even after painting, rusting will continue and painting is not a permanent solution. Hence Hyundai service center is advising me to replace the door.

Bubbles will grow bigger even after i apply some sticker as rusting will keep on continuing. I think only option is to cut and remove rusted metal sheet area and replace it with some thing else.

Default Rusting issue solved

Rusting issue on my getz's doors has been finally solved

If you go through the images i posted earlier, bubbles were formed on the outside door's surface. I spoke to a local painter and asked him to remove the bubbles (he used a sharp piece of sheet) and then rub using a sand paper. He did it for quite some time and then we saw that whole rust was removed.
We saw shining steel sheet. Painter applied a thick coat of zinc primer and allowed to dry for a day. Next day he painted a portion of door. He did this for both front doors.

I am very happy that only a small portion of door was rusted. Had rust been deeper, i might had to replace whole door (as per SVC) which is very expensive.
I also got rear bumper and a couple of other area painted which had big dents.

I am planning to go for a paint treatment including polishing. Any suggestions?
3M does a full paint treatment job for around 3K. They said they will remove swirls and small scratches. Is it worth the money?

My getz battery died yesterday. Car started morning showing no signs of issues with battery. Evening i crank and i hear some strange noise from starter motor and no crank. Called up hyundai service and they said they will attend my car today and quoted 10K for a new battery. I was shocked to hear such figure for a hatch.
Visited an exide dealer close to my residence and he quoted 9.2K for Exide Matrix which is sealed for life with 5 years warranty. After exchange of old batter, paid 8.2K.

How is it possible that a battery die without showing any signs of aging?

You could have asked before buying a battery. Why buy exide. its always costly. You could have followed by thread . I bought the tata green batteries for less than Rs.4500.

True. Cant find a perfect replacement for my getz. But planned to change it in 2 to 3 months. Enjoyed the power of it ,but felt i should slow down a bit . Parts are slightly becoming a problem now as per other getz thread.Put an ad on tbhp for sale and buy a brio, but ended up exhanging with hyundai itself as december discounts were good.

ouch! Ouch! OUCH!!! Come on man! The Rocket is for keeps, you couldn't have sold it :(

Oh well, you have the Rocket Sr. around, but still - the Getz D is indeed THE pocket rocket! And there is no problem in parts availability - of course I am not talking about HASS, I have been servicing outside for the past 30k KM now...

Anyways, now that the deed is done, am sure the Getz D would give you a smile whenever you think of it - Will catch up in mine if/ when I drive by your place
