. Could you please let me know the advantages of changing engine oil every 5k kms? Are you doing the same for your car?My Indica Vista TDi shares the same engine and is about to complete 5k kms and due for second service, hence the question. Also, whats the cost of the engine oil change? If the advantages really outweigh the cost I will certainly consider it. Cheers, Nitin

| Senior - BHPian | tata A.S.S typically uses castrol GTD, which is a very cheap oil, and wont last longer than 5000k. Even if you use a better engine oil, its still better that you do the oil changes sooner than later, at least @ 7,500k , as opposed to the 10,000k claimed by tata. How much oil does your car need ? mine needs 5.5 litres = around 1k for the oil alone. less if you use GTD, slightly more if you use a better oil

| Congrats svsantosh, for your booking the Indigo CS Dicor, I have also booked Indigo CS Dicor Golden colour, and expect it to be available by 13th to 15th April. After a lot of dilly dallying between TDI and Dicor, I took the decision for Dicor. Indigo CS and Indigo seem to have the same Dicor engine. In a showroom nearby I went through the service record of my friends indigo dicor, who has driven over 65000 Km in the last 1½ Yr of its possession. He had followed the service schedule religiously, and there were no major expenses involved. The showrooms did not have a dicor for test drive, but I got the opportunity to drive my friend's dicor. So based on the service report and the test drive, I finally made up my mind for Indigo CS Dicor. More upon having the car in my possession..! |

I meant to say I changed my HU to a Panasonic RX300, and got a JBL 10 Inch GT5-10 Sub Woofer installed. thats what I meant when I said I 'banged' my car again. ![]() I am sorry i couldnt take the pics of the spares because 'EVO' Satya (Cambridge Layout, Blore, one of the best installers in town) - Gave the green for the install. So just threw the Junk out of the boot and saw a 'rag picker' make hay out of nearly 20-30Kgs of steel. Spent the whole saturday there and got the Entire wiring redone and 'boy' what a fine job has Satya done. Rear fills are currently WIP, i will post pics of the new audio setup soon.

| Hi to all esp Santosh Lovely pics! You guys in the south are lucky to be able to travel short distances and get to wonderful destinations like these. Well do check the Rubber beadings in the Door Panels especially below as sometimes if they have become loose then there are squeaks like mice in the cabin Bye for Now |
