Hi AG,

12 may not be too unrealistic actually! It also depends on the length of your runs and the average speed you do. We have 2 monsters in our office (colleagues and mine) bought in Jul 09. Our runs are typically 5-8 km in heavy Blore traffic. Average speed is under 20 kmph.

Both of us get between 11 and 13 in the city (with AC 100%).

Cheers!

PS: On a couple of highway runs, we have got 15-16 kmpl.

The FE of this car mostly remains same irrespective of driving style. The more u rip, more FE u get.
Fuel quality and the average distance you drive is an important factor for FE.
The lowest ever FE (12.3 kmpl) i got was with Karnataka diesel, Pathetic quality which even made the turbo whoosh vanish for 400kms.

Last two fills without Petes:
1. 289kms - 15.2lts = 19.01 kmpl
2. 345kms -21.00lts = 16.4 kmpl

Sweet mother of the Holy Cow !!!

How in the holy grail of timbuctoo did you manage 20.50kmpl ?!?! I did a lot of neutral driving as a trial and still managed only 18kmpl.

Congrats on the 50k mark and kudos to your maintenance and driving.

Ask my dad's driver !
He cruises at 80kph on expressway with no gear change & almost no braking for 25kms.
IMO, its a CRIME with 130bhp and 280Nm torque under your right foot.

+1 to that.

And 20.50 kmpl is Sweet!

The more I look at the low maintenance costs of this car, the more I regret not buying it when I could get it for a steal.

Very nice excel and report. Every one buying a new car should keep such a record for each of their cars. Excellent way of keeping oneself happy. The total maintenance cost makes this car a real VFM. Congrats kpgetz.

Prajesh, did your car come with 4 free service coupons??! I had made a note to check my book long back (when I read this), but checked it yesterday. And sure enough, my book has only three free services!!!

That's great to know!
Last time I ripped Absynthguzzler's Getz CRDi to Vijayawada and back to Hyd, I got a measly 13 kmpl! And he gets a minimum of 18 in the Hyderabad traffic!
