Hmmm you just bought the S10 and already installed a freeflow! Great going. Could you pls post some clips and pics of the free flow?

Meanwhile, received a mail from PJ. He has a EV803. Now am not sure if this fits into a 1.6 GTX. Any experiences? Unfortunately he has none of the other models from Evotion. Here are the specs

EVOTION - EV803

Completely polished SS Muffler.
Robotic step TIG welded tip.
The EV803 is race inspired .
Overall lenth is 21" Diameter 5.5".
Tip 3.5" Inlet 2.25".

Are you still getting it serviced by Venkatesh?
I saw couple of issues while I got my palio serviced from him and now I refrain myself going there. Issues such as-

Overall I felt that though he may have knowledge but it is mostly hit-and-trial. He is good at fixing known and typical Fiat recurring issues, but is not so great at diagnosing new defects.
I have felt KHT did an incredible job for me. Never ever I have been so much satisfied with any Fiat specialised mechanics or personnel (including Hariprasad)..
Hi Pujari

Even I had some bad experience with Venkatesh, went to him on recommendation from this forum, but he has ripped me of around 25K and made my GTX wrost.

Had obsolutely no major issues with my Car and went for regular service to him and from then on all the problems started

1. Clutch Replaced with him and have driven only 8K after that, but there is huge shudder while releasing clutch and there is hardly any power. Green Point informed me that clutch is still old and has to be replaced!!! I was surprised. Venkatesh never changed the Clutch and the pressure plates

2. Changed front brake pad and discs with him. Now the brakes won't lock up at all and there is a huge brake shudder. Venkatesh told me that the lower arm, suspension, joints, etc.. etc.. had gone but din't believe him. Green Point informed me that brake pad and discs are local made and already its wrapped, bent and gone..

3. He broke my right headlight, Battery Holder, Front Door Handles, Mudflaps, etc. though he argues that he din't.

4. Finally when I left the car for service in April, the car was as is even after when I went to pick the car and then he gave the car 1 day late. When Borther in Law was driving the car to Coorg next day, the alternator bearing failed and the car died in the night. Next Day I took my other car, reached Hunsur and got the car ready. What was surprising was the entire area surrounding the alternator was clean and there were fresh marks on the bolts of the alternator and the screws were oiled.

Next week I left the vehicle with Venkatesh and told him firmly to check the alternator, though I din't tell what was the actual problem. When I returned in the evening, he had a alternator switch on the table and told me that it had gone kaput and he has replaced it, thats it, I had with him..I gave a mouth full and showed him the alternator switch photos which I had taken previous week while repairing it in hunsur, which had a different marking and number. He had no words and said sorry.

I still believe he stole my perfectly working alternator and replaced it with a old one. He denies it and I can't prove it.

I am planning to switch to KHT on Sarjapur RingRoad once I am back to India.

Regards

Thats really sad especially when everyone says best mechanic in Blore. These are the reasons to move away from Fiat only workshops as there is a high possibility of parts to get flicked. Mostly I will try to be with the mechanic when he is working with my car. Peace of mind the parts are actually replaced.
My way of fixing issue in the car is if there is a problem with A/C, I got a good a/c only mechanic, similarly for electrical, for clutch and lower arm any mech can work. The only gray area for all mechanic is fiat engine and I will look after it if there is any fault and instruct the mechanic if work is needed. Atleast we are all lucky, post 2001 fiat cars are obd II compliant buy a elm adapter and fiat connector pin we are set to investigate engine related issues with a laptop. Infact its damn easy to diagnose in fiat engines

Regards,
Vijay

chandrda it is sad to hear your case, but believe me it is nothing new to me. These guys know that Fiat customers are hit by the world famous Fiat after sales issue and they just try to reap in benefit.

Back then venkatest told me that there is an accidental Palio and the owner is selling the disassembled parts individually. Since it was a sports model I wanted to get the rear spoiler with windshield. He(venkatest, the broker) said he can arrange an exchange and I need to pay 10k extra in addition to my windshield. I really dont know what was on his mind.

Anyways, I would strongly recommend you to visit kht once, these guys are smart in identifying duplicate parts or parts changed. They actually opened my clutch to identify the brand on my request and they did not charge anything for that.

Weekend I was able to cross 140 kmph on my 1.2 palio(without AC) and I could not myself believe it. After visiting venkatesh my car was hardly able to reach 90 without AC and he claimed 'All Iz Well'.

Speed Pujari and Chandrda,

Appreciate writing your issues here and I must say quite unfortunate experiences. Why don't you write your experiences on this thread

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/bangal...tomobiles.html (FIAT Workshop - Gowri Automobiles)

I had posted this thread when he (Venkatesh) miraculously started fixing my issues one after the other when none of the A.S.Ss were able to even identify the issues. The Concorde Motors, Mysore road service center mechanic, claimed to be the best during that time on enquiring about fuel pump stocks told me that they have 1.2 fuel pump kit and can be a bolt on to 1.6 as well since it is the same petrol engine . You can imagine the confidence I had with them at that time. Greentracks experience was also sour. Back then KHT was not existent.

So if all's not good with Venkatesh, its my request to include your experiences so that the other folks (including guests) are informed about the pros and cons of that workshop. I'm sure many look up to that thread than this one if they were to search for a good Palio mechanic.

My response is not to challenge your experiences but just a request to let all the folks know about his other side as well. Luckily, I haven't had to face any such experiences with him, atleast upto that level. But if that day comes, I won't spare him either.

Congrats Jay, very good to see those magical numbers. Regarding the body detailing would strongly suggest you Ultimate Detailerz they are in a league of their own. Probably looking at their work you might get it done on your Duc as well
Not quite sure on the endcan modifications but believe there is a new shop setup in Koramangala, 80 feet road called Drift they can actually fabricate one for you.

I will definitely try KHT in December, when my Palio is due for service.

I just might. No one in Bangalore has experience with EV803 on a Palio and pjspeed did not sound all that confident on the compatibility.

Actually, im yet to install a freeflow on my car. Many of my friends have S10's with FFE's from different companies, so just deciding on which one!

In other news, i bought another S10! So will try different FFE design for both cars! Hehe!!

I have driven an S10 with stock headers and just an end can, it sound ok, because the stock engine note is good, but performance gain is nil. And it costs as much as an FFE, i would say FFE anyday.
