One query though. The car has only Aux port, no USB port.

What is the utility of the Aux ports?

What do we have to do if we want to connect USB devices to this Aux port?

P.S - Can I request to be pointed to the discussions held previously on this issue in this thread? I could not find it even after trying hard.

Congrats and welcome to the club - I can also say 2007 club
Aux is nothing great, just connect a headphone out of some device to it, not worth the trouble. Say - play your ipod and connect its head phone out to the aux in.

You get yourself an Aux cable first. You can either use a cellphone with music playback capability or a MP3 player to play music in your car.

You need a USB to Aux converter.

Mine is Soundfly USB to Aux/FM converter and I paid around Rs. 3K for it at 20North.com. If you look around, you might find something cheaper.

From where can I download the service/owners manual for my 2007 VMT Civic?

I bought a 2007 Civic yesterday. But the manuals?

There is no solution.
All you can do is connect your phone through AUX cable/use an FM transmitter.

Booked Civic VMT SR, after VIN check of the car at the yard. It is manufactured last month (Jan 2012). There were two cars - one Black and one UT. Black one had Goodyear and UT had Michelin. I have blocked UT (choice left to family). 16.30L on road that includes floor mats and 3M RE grade sun film. That's all.

I have asked for full checkup before registration and dealer agreed to. I will carry TBHP PDI checklist. However, if any Civic specific points to look for - please suggest and help.

Thank you.

I downloaded the file of the above link, today.

Then I opened the rar file and got a folder called 'Civic 06 4d'. So far so good.

However then on, no file in the folder worked. EsmStart.exe is the only executable file in the folder but clicking on it produces no action. Nada. Zilch.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

The most expensive item seems to be the spark plugs.Did you get to keep the old plugs ?what condition they are in if you have them ?

Just had one look at the old spark-plugs and disposed them.
Yes, they are expensive but it comes only once every one-lakh kms.
(They are the iridium type).

The plugs are Iridium tipped, and as manim pointed out need replacement every 100,000km only. In a Honda to change the plugs you have to open up the engine cover!

I was loitering around the car when the mechanic changed the plugs.

After pulling out the 'visible-electrical-top', the spark-plugs were deep inside the hole.
A long spanner was used to access the plugs.
I am not sure if the engine-cover was opened though.

Only the cover on which Honda i-Vtec is written has to be removed after which the sockets connecting the ignition coil packs have to removed and later with the proper tool the ignition coil packs have to be removed and after which with an extension socket and rachet set spark plugs are removed.

Post Spark-plugs

I had asked the servant to dispose it, but luckily he got it back for me for taking these photos.

Taken with Nikon D3100 and cropped/re-sized.
