I do not think one really wants a totally water proof cover. It should allow the car to 'breathe'.

Guys, need a little help here.

I have given my 2007 august civic today for replacing the engine mounting to Ace honda, noida.
Have just received a call from my SA. that my rear brake pads have gone & won't last me more than 600-700 kms.

The car has done 45,000 kms & the front brake pads were changed once as they had become hard.

The cost of replacement pads quoted is 6000+.

Can any one suggest some aftermarket good quality brake pads?? Also where can I source them in south delhi/ noida.

Please suggest a decent workshop/ mechanic for replacing the brake pads too.

Thanks

Rishi

Hi guys,

There is some problem with my headlight control switch.

* If I select low beam or high beam, only low beam light turns ON.
* If I use dipper (day or night), the low beam light turns on.
* When I select high beam (permanent or dipper), high beam indicator (blue) on instrument panel turns on but headlight remains on low beam.

And it does not happen always. Last night, it was malfunctioning for first 5 minutes, then everything started working fine for next 30 minutes. Then again it started malfunctioning.

What could be the probable reason? Headlight control switch gone bad? Anyone got it replaced? Any idea of the cost?

Hi,the aftermarket brake pads for honda are from the nissin brand. These can be had for around 3k or less for a pair.Make sure you get the original.Honda crv and civic has the same size for brake pads.

Please look up the team bhp directory for trusted garages. Also while you are there could you please share the cost of the engine mount.
Thanks.

Could be the high beam fuse. Had a similar incident with a Innova and initially we just removed the fuses and refitted them and the high beam started working. After few kms same issue and we checked the fuse and it was actually burnt. When we refitted it we had accidentally closed the burnt gap and that's the reason it worked for a while. Replaced the fuse later and no issues since then.

If high beam fuse is gone, will low beam light turn on if we use dipper/high beam ?

Hey Guys,

I have a Honda Civic V A/T. The car seems to have a breaking problem. Every time I drive above 120 kmph and break instantly, the cars breaks make a lot of noise and the car starts shaking uncontrollably.

Drove an accord for about 300km, same problem. Drove another manual transmission civic. Same problem.

Also the breaking is very bad.

How to fix this ?

Is it the ABS kicking in sound or feeling?

Nope. Not at all. It sounds like I'm running on a flat tire. And the steering starts shaking/vibrating.

I think you need a brake discs and pads replacement.

I had a similiar problem, you have to replace the front brake disc along with the pads.

No. They get worn of due to normal wear and tear. You'll have to pay for the parts.
