Thank you for the response. Couple of clarifications please.
These symptoms are connected to Mount/Bed issues?
If these bed/mounts are changed through HASS, will it reoccur say after another 40k or so? What I try to ask here is the replacements, have they been rectified by Honda for endurance?

I am not sure but i think the face lifted model does not have this problem and possibly honda has corrected the issue.Ufortunately for you and me we will have to live with the problem. If the mount you are about to change or will be changing is the factory fitted one i see no reason why a replacement will not last another 40k kms. There has been cases where people have replaced the mount 2-3 times in a span of 60k kms ,so nothing is certain.

Thank you. So can I believe that these symptoms are related to engine mount?

Yes the symptoms seem to be of a broken engine mount.Refer to page 112 of this thread on how to identify the issue.

My 2007 civic has run 77k and thankfully no engine mount issue yet :touchwood:. I just touched upon a few discussions on the net. Is the Civic really the most reliable car ever? I've seen and heard of instances where the Car has lasted for 3 lakh, even 4 lakh kilometres without issues.

Feels good to hear this, I plan to hold this car for a long time to come!

In fact my children start to fight with me if I even joke about going for a new car. The Civic is part of my family, we are all attached to it emotionally.

True that! I know that feeling. The car is built to last and I've had no issues with it till date. Every other Car I sit in, I automatically compare it to my civic. The digital speedometer console itself is orgasmic

Pity that the segment is dying, or else I'd have loved to see the newer civic in India. It's not as elegant as our model but it's a great car nonetheless. I plan to stick to it for 10 years atleast, and then buy the 2017 civic or something :P

I don't remember the name of shop, but this was the general price all over the market. Give or take 100 bucks.

My Civic clutch pedal makes a creaking krr noise when depressed. The clutch assembly is fine and I've faced no loss in fuel efficiency. So I was thinking of lubricating the area where the clutch pedal sinks into the floor. Which product is recommended? Zorrik 88 lubricant spray or WD40?

Wd 40 will do the trick.Had same issue with my car.The sound hasn't returned.Make sure to let the smell of the spray fade away else the car keeps smelling of wd 40.

Yes, perfect one to keep away the squeaks and rust.

But please ensure maximum ventilation post application and before taking the car for a drive. The residual gas, I think it is carbon dioxide, is not safe to be enclosed in a tight space like a car interior, immediately after application.

I think today in most aerosols the propellant used is LPG!

Hello Sumeet,

I think it is just the opposite. Earlier days, the propellants were lpg, but due to the flammability factor, CO2 is favored in these days instead of lpg.
WD40 constitution isn't made available for public, so not entirely sure on this though.

In either case, the basic idea of providing ventilation is to let go that propellant smell before driving off, as the car cabin is a very congested space for this kind of application.
