This is one report worth printing out and keeping! The detailed photographs and account of your years with the "josh" machine can surely only be written by someone who loves his cars.

However, I am surprised by the rust on the car. In this day and age, rust should be a thing of the past. Especially in the not very humid climate of Bangalore.

Indeed a very good write up on the josh machine. Except for the brakes, there's hardly anything wrong with the car. I've been always mentioning to NC about the bloody amazing amount of low end torque his car has !

Thanks guys, its the weather (its raining here you know) in Bangalore that inspired me to the write up :P, nope was before TGIF.

Brakes, yeah they are again quite tempermental, can give a very vague feel which leads upto an amazing wheel lock (dangerous/on the edge/challenge to master) . Have noticed that usually behaves once heated up, as in during long journeys.

Rust, well its basically the abuse in the form of washing it took for 1.5 years, the guy used to wash n leave the car inside the garage, that too in the humid mallu land.

Nowadays again, my quest for better time managment has added to this problem (using the bike), of the car being washed and only the external body being wiped dry, guess should ask the guy to take the pain of opening the door and wiping the inards dry.

Forgot to add, had plonked in a semi free flow exhaust system couple of months back, as in the last two cans have been removed and connected direct to a looooogish silencer can and yes headers and catcon are still retained.
Sounds just perfect, purring at low rpms to a very mild growl at higher rpms, yes the throttle response at lower rpms has improved.

So until next time adios amigos and thanks again for all the wonderful replies.

Thumbs up Still own the ride..?!

I am entirely in agreement....no relationship is as (im)pure as that between a 1.6 Ikon and its lucky owner. It is a passionate love affair that beats one n all...!

hey jaggu.... nic write up dude. If i may ask what is the fuel average that your car has been giving you. I have heard horror stories of the first batch Ikon's being a fuel guzzler.
