How would be the Vista's brakes in comparison to the DLS that you had earlier?

I never felt my Marina's brakes were not suitable for speeds of 100kph!

I just came back driving one. The brakes don't inspire any confidence. Felt like standing on a stone...

the brakes are good for normal n sedate city runs, but on the highway try not to cross 100 if you cant see straight ahead (curves n all)

its better than the DLS's.

What good is a car if it cant brake safely over 100 kph? Thats a serious compromise.

certain cars are not built for high speed ripping and is targeted at sedate drivers who comprise a large chunk of car buyers in india. Vista is built to provide passengers with great comfort over typical indian roads without a squeak of protest. who has the opportunity to regularly rip the car at those speeds during the daily commute? like I said the brakes are good for city driving or at speeds below 100. anyway the ABS/airbag edition of Vista due next year is expected to cover that aspect too.

Nice to know about your impressions of the Tata Indica Vista. The ABS option is sorely missed on this brand new launch from Tata. They own JLR and its pathetic to know that they have launched a car minus the ABS option, saying it will be done at a later date.
The Maruti A- Star comes with the ABS option from day one.

Anyways highspeed crusing in vista is best in its class.

ya, the turbo kick is there but very linear, unlike the sudden burst in Swift. its almost like a gentle surge of power that starts before 2000rpm. the lag is present but is quite short.

@anjan - i agree, at least the top variant should have come with ABS. its really required for those highway trips.

Better than DLS's is an encouraging statement. DLS has much better brakes than Santro as I had experienced recently.

Default How's integrated music system...

Hi CAD,

Please tell us something about Integrated Music System in Indica Vista Aura. Does it have equilizer (Bass, Mid, Treble) adjustment. When I went to demo I could not find that option and a person who was giving a demo.

How is the Bass output in default music system?

Thanks,
Sushant

yes, there are Bass and Treble adjustments along with the usuals like balance, fader etc. its not that great in the stock speakers but sufficient if you prefer indian classical music, ghazals, old film songs etc.
