Congratulations!!
What is the on road price of this beautiful MUV ?

Of all the vehicles of Mahindra , only Bolero looks beautiful to me. And since
this VLX comes with a 92 bhp engine , you can buy Bolero now(the earlier ones are , I think 62bhp) . According to the website more than 55000 Boleros are sold in one year !! , the sales figure shows that it is most reliable vehicle.

I just want to know the on road price of Bolero storm vlx in Hyderabad.

The reason that I am not too keen on alloys is because I tend to travel too much to places which dont have roads. Alloys tend to get bend/warped on abuse and cannot be repaired. If I was a city dweller then alloys would have been the way to go, but then again I wouldn't have bought the Bolero, would I

[quote=MileCruncher;1291279]
Since the car was to be bought on my wife's name and since she already had a Pre-Approved Auto Loan from HDFC, we thought that the loan sanction process would be a breeze. But, as the saying goes "Man proposes, God Disposes", it was not to be. After filing all papers with HDFC, they told my wife that they couldn't process the loan as it was a lady who was buying a Jeep ( God knows what logic they work on).

Well this is interesting. Banks seem to have peculiar reasons these days for not giving loans. I also have an HDFC loan running, and have been informed that theres another preapproved loan available. Plan to use it in the next couple of months. What were the rates HDFC guys were offering on this pre approved loan??
And yes, you MUST start a new thread on issues regarding new loans with SBI. I am sure many like me looking to deal with SBI will benefit.
And finally, black bolero looks awesome. Have driven bolero quite a lot in Shimla, a DI one. Was fantastic and loved the pulling power of the beast. Have fun with your new ride. Cheers.

Congrats MC...Bolero is looking hot. So finally you got the car. I guess now you can really do the jungle trips, waiting for a detailed review. Are you going out of town this weekend? if not I want to drop by, havent seen the new gen Bolero upclose.

Drive safe, enjoy your RUV .

Nope. It was the Puja box along with the Key, since she is the registered owner of the car. I'm only the driver and as the saying goes "Drivers have all the Fun"

Excellent buy Sir!

Loved the car when I TDed it along with the very many sedans.

We had a Bolero SLX before and when I TDed the storm, I could make out the huge step up. Loved it and wanted to get it. But 2 things stopped me!

1. I got the, be more responsible, speech from the missus. "Raj, we are moving up the family ladder with a baby on the way. We cant be like nomads. Thats the past, now we have to be responsible, we will buy a sedan."
2. Somehow the VFM factor was a big nag on the brain. a Bolero VLX costs 8L for the same price I could get a linea top end. Well thats what I did!

Plus I had another 2L to spend, so I was not very convinced that the Bolero Vlx was worth 8L when a scorpio top end was available for 10+. Not a big fan of the scorpio but still in terms of relative VFM!

BUT trust me, the Bolero was the best vehicle I have ever owned. I would throw anything at it, be it long boring flat highways or the perambikullam/wayanad forest, ghat sections, 17 hr continuous trips, whatever, it would happily crunch miles and come along with no qualms, albeit at its own pace.

Just loved it!!

Hidden Feature of the Bolero "Car Fridge"
With the A/C running, glove box becomes absolutely chilled. Purpose of glove box is going to get redefined

Default Worth the wait!

Wow, it looks gorgeous. Stick to stock is my mantra too.

+1 to Himanshu after 18th is fine by me.

BTW is Springdale any 'good' . It must be, considering that you insist on parking your cars in front of it.

Cheers,
