| One owner here. 2004 4x4 completed 80,000km and still going strong, but definitely not a good writer and nothing really interesting to write about. In case you have any specific queries, do let me know.

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | One of the big hurdles I'd faced when I was trying to do research. PM Sahil - he's an Endy owner & can give you useful inputs. Apart from the other two gentlemen who've already replied.

| So far so good, but then mine would be a short term report! Just done 2000 kms so far. I had more of a problem getting it registered, but that's another story! I don't want to bad mouth the dealer or the company for what may not be their fault in the first place. |

| I have done 45k kms in my Endy which is 20 months old. I am getting mileage of 11km/lit in city.On highway I get 13-14km/lit. I have not faced any major issues like breakdown, parts wear and tear etc,. with it so far. The service cost is mostly around 5k. The front and middle row seats are very spacious and comfortable. I have done many long drives with 7-8 people and I get consistent good feedback about the front and middle rows. The last row cant seat 3 adults comfortably due to the low floor. It is for kids or for just 2 adults. The engine feels the same even now and the body remains fit without any rattles after 45k km on odo. I find the suspension to be hard and is a concern for me. You can feel the small pot holes but it handles bigger bumps reasonably. The view from the driver's seat, gear box, smooth engine makes driving lot enjoyable. It has a totally different feel on highway.130-140 kmph can be done without much noise/rattling. You will feel much slower from inside than the actual speed. The more number of people inside the car, the more it feels planted and handles the speed. |

Infractions: 0/1 (7) | I've done nearly 40,000 Kms in 7 months in my 4x2 Hurricane. The car is simply so powerful and does not feel lethargic at all.The leather seats are all soiled up a bit now(Have to do seat cleanin when i have the time). The ride is very bumpy on our roads and i think that is the only downside in this car but i felt the car to be a better handler when its fully loaded(I really haven't noted anyone say that in any of the initial TD's of this vehicle). The Air-con works very well.Chills the cabin soon enough even in hot climate. It can go to 140Kmph very easily in a free stretch of road and can do 160 quite easily in the right rev band at 5th gear.I usually drive it at 160 on my way from nagercoil to Madurai. Its a 3 lane road so you could experiment at such speeds but with caution since the road is still not complete. The ABS inspires a little confidence in you since it brings the Wholly mamoth to a sudden standstill if you need it at urgent spots. The music system is good. Its plays mp3's but not wmv or any other files. The speakers jar at volumes above 30.So anythin below that is pleasant. There are no other cabin or rattling noises from within the vehicle.Service usually costs around 5 K.But i had an issue where the dealer tried to rip me off when i had an issue with my clutch plate. They charged me 30 K for replacement when the actual costs was only 9K(Please note Ford has reduced all spare parts price from last year drastically). So i used T-bhp forum to help me out on this and i mailed The MD of ford regardin this unscruptolus act by my dealer and they refunded my 20k the next day itself .http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...-warranty.html (Ford Endeavour's got a clutch prob within 6 months..can i claim for a warranty ??) All in all This beast is just awesome and now with reduced spare prices its just a lil more affordable to own. |
