One of the best maintained car and best LTO i've ever read. Congo mate.
Wish you get her to the 1L mark very soon and safe.

Great review, theMag! Thanks for explaining everything in detail. I drive a Swift ZXi and this has given me a lot of pointers on what can be done to improve the driving experience.

Well written Mahesh!.

From one passionate team-BHPian to another: Keep up the (motor)spirit!

Liked this pic, most of all.

The gleam of the shiny black sheet metal has picked up the azure blue sky and the orange blossom hues of the dusk, while the chromed alloys and metallized ABS lamp reflectors lustily compete for attention.

That a really well pampered car Mag. You got to crazily in love with that car to be pampered like this. Lucky car !!

Would like to know if switching over to fully synthetic gearbox oil made much difference?? And how much does the fully synthetic gear box oil cost?

Super review Maggie. The love for your babe shows - not only in the way you have taken care of her, but also in the way you write about her.

I've always had high FE figures with my car - so this was not an aspect I was looking at with the FFE

Maintaining black cars is the same everywhere! It needs a lot of perseverance and attention-to-detail. The end result, is well worth it !

"Constant speeds" is used generically. Highway driving was preferred since I absolutely hate city driving.

Its the VFM proposition that attracted me to OWS. For the same grade/performance fully synthetic oil, it should be cheaper by 20% than Mobil1. I didnt want to pay that kind of premium for Mobil1 anymore just for its brand-name.

How is your feeling about the shifts. Substantial improvement?

My gear-shifts had lost their crispness - something that I was annoyed about since the Swift had amongst the best gear-shifts in affordable cars. After this change, that crispness is visibly back.

About the cost, I honestly dont recollect since I left behind that can at Vasu's after the change - the Swift needed some 2.2 liters of gearbox oil and the additive. Farhan would know these rates.

Yup - it has to be.

Ram - you and Rudra would make an awesome artistic alliance!

I recollect paying somewhere around Rs 4000 per wheel - you'll need to excuse my fuzziness about exact price since it was purchased 3 years ago.

How I wish my Swift would look like that after 3 years. 2.5 years and it's not even close. So now that you have the story so far well documented, are we ready to go matt black yet? Should I ship some 400 grit sand paper down?
