Thanks once again guys..

Black Beast is now born free

Thanks Rahul but it became more of a learning experience than helping you, infact you made a lot of effort to dig into it and ended up an expert in knowing the technicalities.

All is well if it ends well, I am happy for you.

Rahul instead of doing these excercises, take a Pair of Lightforce and stay happy and enjoy the drive.

For the OEM fog lamps change it with the Osram Nightbreakers H7.

Default Handbrake / Central Gear Console Issue

I got the central console changed during the first service as the rubber was torn due to usage of the handbrake. This has reappeared again.

I am not sure if this is a design fault.. anyone seen this till date ?

I am also facing the same problem.

I had asked for a console change. However the console that I saw at the spare parts section of B U Bhandari - Wakad, did not have the rubber flaps. If you see carefully the design of the console (the rear part of the console - you do not need to change the full console) incorporates change of only the rubber.
The problem is that only the rubber flap is not available
I am therefore living with the torn rubber handbrake flap. I am though forcing the issue with B U Bhandari. I propose to write to TM today thro' their customer care web site. When you complain thro' their customer-care web-site, you are automatically allocated a complaint No. .

The difference in gap between left and right as rightly noted on your 1st photograph is due to misaligned fitment of the whole central console. I had pointed this out at the 1st service itself in writting, but this meant keeping the car for another day so I overlooked it. Little did anticipate that this would result in tearing of the flap !

+++1 to what you said gowda79, they sure are good.

The low beam has powerfull yellow glare and high beam has a strange greenish bluish tinge. to it..I have never seen that kinda light before..
Posting some of the images from my excellent so called E71 3.2 mp camera.. Please bear with me

Images are the following order

1. Black Darkness
2. Low beam from drivers seat
3. High beam from drivers seat
4. Closeup of headlamp low beam
5. Closeup of headlamp high beam

On the other hand lately some sqeeks have started to come from backend, but not much of a bother, I vow to stay of shell.. some thing uncanny, whenever I put in some, wildcat belches and burps

Now where do I get OWS in pune..help me guys

Ah.. forgot to add, nothing new/old with the safari, just fill it , check it and drive it..
I am searching for that magic wand called jopasu broom/cleaner to check it if it really works on my safari.. Ill be more than happy to complete the work(cleaning) in 5-10 mins rather than 45 mins . Has any safari owner used it ?

Ok... the milage or so called FE has dropped by 1.5 kms approx. Same conditions and same road run of 100kms and same time.. Something fishy with this new ECU Codec..:(

I have got this changed almost like 3-4 times and it comes back even faster the next time...lets say 1-2 weeks. And all of this because of the design fault...the brake rod looks tilted and cuts the rubber...

dont even bother anymore and you will be happier :-(
