Yes, it's a notch above the halfway mark, just as your pic shows.

Wow! Nice pic. I love the white Punto. IMHO, it looks better than the red.

Black looks great too!
Thing with the white is, it doesn't look as spectacular under certain light conditions.

That appears to be a convoy leaving the factory, headed to a dealership or something.

In the older days, it was a common sight to see a convoy of Ambassadors or Fiats driving down highways, I vividly remember getting all excited seeing "so many new cars" !! I am talking of the time when one would wait 3-4 years for a Fiat & close to 6 months for an Ambassador

So this picture immediately brought back that childhood memory !! Sigh...

Cheers

Sorry Ricky, this is the pic of Punto Owners meet (Mumbai & Pune) at Lonavla which I sadly missed

@sukrit7; What's the regular efficiency you are extracting from your MJD.

This is different from the fiat owners' group ?
IS there also a specific group for punto owners in Delhi.

I reset my tripB data at every refill, it usually shows a reading between 14.9 to 15.5. Thing is, I don't consider this reading too seriously because my driver doesn't extract the maximum out of the car. My dad also uses the car and his daily drive is full of traffic, an average speed of 22kmph at times.
Thirdly, the car is used a lot for short distances as well which kills the average, a lot of start stop na.

Quite frankly, if you drive and not to sedately at that, you can easily expect an average of 16+. In the months where I was the sole user of the car, it was always 15.9 to 16.5. The key is to shift to third as soon as possible, the torque will keep you running comfortable and the I.C will never fall below 11 to 12.
Sorry, long detailed explanation. Just wanted you to see the entire picture.

15k service tomorrow, Thursday.
India is going out :(
Goodnight

Do update us on the second service experience? I suppose you would be going to Rama Motors in Okhla.

Default A mixed experience, 2nd service, 15,000Km

When I left Rama Motors after giving my car for servicing I could already imagine myself writing as abusive an entry as possible, I wanted to scream and shout and let the entire community know how I was feeling.
When I received the car though, I felt much better, everything seemed the way it should be when a car is serviced well.
Hence, a mixed experience.

The Bad
I called up at 11.15 and booked an appointment for 12.30
Hello, this is Mr.Sukrit Nagpal, I..
Just a moment sir
...After a few minutes, sir, he's not available at this desk right now.
I'm dumbstruck, composing myself and trying to not laugh at the situation I explain and book an appointment.

2 minutes later...
Morning sir, we're calling from Rama motors, you wanted to inquire and book a fiat punto.
Umm, no, I called to take an appointment.
Thankyou sir.

I reach Rama Motors at 12.45 and am greeted by nobody in particular, the guard doesn't even give a damn. There's complete pandemonium, one meek fellow's car isn't starting, another's isn't opening etc etc. I have no idea where to park and who to meet. The guard guides me towards a tallish (gentle) man, he's the manager I'm told.
I'm here for a service appointment.
Take a seat sir, it'll take about 10 minutes.
What can I do, I take a seat, I'm offered no water, forget the usual coke and tea ritual.
I ask an employee why no one's around.
They're having a meeting with the entire set of service advisors i'm told.
In the middle of the day?
Anyway, I continue to wait.
Person who seems like a hotel driver looks at me and somehow understands my frustration, he starts off telling me how the linea is a great car yet the A.S.S is horrid, he's been coming everyday....goes on.

almost 40 minutes later, someone arrives. I say a few things and finally we have a JOB CARD.
After listing down a rather long list of 'things' I tell him I'm dissatisfied with the AC(pop jumps in another customer, 'even your ac isn't working well, I bought my car a few days back and it just doesn't cool') and the parcel tray rattles.
A few minutes I'm given a strange estimate. Here's what's strange
1- Wheel alignment- Rs 300 (tyre rotation is free though)
2- Dicky noise- Rs 100.

By now, I've lost it, it's smelting hot and the SA is saying bizarre things.
I ask him why i'm being charged for wheel alignment when it's part of the free service. We have a little argument and I let it go since i'm not fully sure(guys, help me out here please)"I don't want it done I tell him"
I ask him why i'm being charged for elimination of rattles, I hear a strange story about how if a part is replaced then there's no labour charge however otherwise to check and fix etc etc. I tell him it's in warranty and I'm bound to complain about something that's making a noise that it isn't supposed to.
I'll fix it sir and off goes Rs 100.
Off I go as well, frustrated and fuming. I still haven't gotten water.

Good

I receive the car on time, it's sparkling clean and everything seems in order. I pay Rs 4386 or something like that.
Sir, the coupon.
Damn, I didn't bring the booklet with me.
We settle this amicably, I pay Rs 750 extra, refundable as long as I provide the coupon in the next 3 days. Good.
The bill is explained to me, the AC problem diagnosed and some filter replaced, the rattle's gone. In the terms of a layman(no real point here)'all ij well'.

The Unexpected

Sir, your brake pads won't last more than a 1000km, please do get them changed, I would have called you but we didn't have them in stock.
How much will it cost
Rs 2500.
Driving home I wonder why they've lasted only 15k, I've never got brake pads replaced this early, I utilize engine braking, don't brake hard unnecessarily either... I'm still wondering so help me out here as well.
The SA tells me some people drive with their foot resting on the brake, I tell myself that's impossible and he means the clutch.
I reach home and have water, I realized i'd forgotten earlier.

Do provide your thoughts.
Overall- 6.5/10.

Sukrit: The wheel alignment is free (its written on the back of the coupon) and regarding the brake pads, its really really surprising that they don't last 15K. Either the service person is trying to make some money or he is gonna change some other car using your money. Either ways, do you feel brakes loosening up or low response from brakes. I think its better you check at some other service center also.

@arishi- That's what I told them as well but they refused to do it for free.
Nope, brakes feel awesome. Car stops almost instantly.

What are the symptoms of brake wear ?
