Does this treatment include the tyres as well? It usually is only for external rubber parts on the body (door beading) and in the engine component (pipes hoses) but does not include tyres.

Its best you get all 5 tyres checked at a tyre speacialist/wheel alignment centre just to be on the safer side. Tyres loose their inherent compounds and tend to detrioriate with age regardless of the kms covered. So considering that that have been on the car for almost 6 years, its best you get them checked thoroughly and replaced if necessary.

Well today i have taken the ownership of the vehicle and brought it home.At a traffic light one guy who was in a wagonR (looked new by the plastic on seats) asked me , Has maruti again started this car ??? And i was all smiles .(I said yes )
The car is absolutely gem .I drove around 200kms today itself .Fitted the left side internally adjustable ORVM (costed 850 Rs with the interior part trim).Only issue i faced was that there is some bearing noise and suspension noise from front left (though minor) so will get it checked when i get time.
Also Front speakers look like a priority now .

Regards

It was 750 last year. May be prices have increased.

It 'may' be the rod and ball joint. Do you hear this more often on rough roads?
I face this issue with my zen as well. The fun part is it vanishes as suddenly as it starts.

The Zen is a very good small car, and congrats for getting yourself a very good piece.

The only drawback is that the AC in the Zen is not that powerfull, and does not take well to bad roads.

Congrats on buying the ZEN. You will have a very good ownership with the cutie. its basically a NO-PROBLEM car.

I too have a 2005 ZEN Lxi and has run around 27k kms now (planning to sell it for a bigger car). Of this 9k has been in last 9 months. Its a cute little car and good for city, with great visibility and maneouverability. Its though comfortable only for 2 people and since you will be travelling alone mostly, its the right kind of car for you.

Highway drives are a pain though and I feel more tired in a Zen when compared to a Fiesta D (the other car I have). I get knee pains on long drives due to the position (maybe my problem).

Mileage wise I'm more than happy; with 16-17 kmpl in city (bangalore) and 18-20kmpl on highways. Had no serious issues and no repairs; other than body repairs.

I too get the noise from front left suspension when I travel on rough roads, but it disappears mysteriously when I take it to a service centre for checks.

From the title of thread, a long term review was expected.

Just when I was wondering that this car was seen somewhere, came across this:

View Photographs for Car Profile #S94556

Hmm, so you got it from carwale & posted the same pictures!

Time now to post your own pictures

Well yes i spotted it through car wale.
Also the noise was traced to a loose fender lining on the left side (Atleast i hope so).The thing is it was loose for sure with one clip missing and was definitely making noise .
Well pics i will post soon .It is raining now.(Thank God)

And most of the people who have been in the car said this is a complete steal at the price i bought it.

Regarding Ice i would definitely not want to go in for amps and stuff as i have a huge experience in them so i would keep it simple with a decent head unit , and two sets of components in front and rear door or parcel tray .
But this is for future as it already has a Pioneer 6025 along with front 4 inchs in door and rear 6x9 both Pioneer .So for some time i have decided to use the many cassettes lying at home.

The odo now reads 17000 kms .It was serviced at 15000kms from MUL service center. So i decided to to get an oil change (Castrol Magnatec) , Castrol Gear Oil SAE80-90 , Oil filter , Air Filter.(Cost = Rs 1550 + Rs 100 Labor + Free Pressure Air in Cabin for blowing off dust).

Also i have made the Goodyear GPS2 which were on car converted to Tubeless .(Gave the tubes puncture less all 4 in exchange for doing the job to the tire shop walla).I know it is not safe totally but as i know there is one layer (of butyl which is non permiable) in normal radial tires compared to the 100%tubeless tyres(Which have two of these layers). So structurally tires are absolutely same in majority of simple tires. This was told to me by a tire expert from JKTyres (Plant at Rajasthan). Also he said difference comes in high end , premium tires.

M.A.S.S did not have the OEM fog lamps in stock the last time I enquired.
So you would have to get them after market.
I think same with the switch. The popular and only (if I am not mistakened) switch brand for fog swtich is 'Anupam'. Available everywhere.

They will get this fixed in your next service if you tell them to. Some tape and rubber bushings will be used to keep things quiter back there!

T_I_T, amazing car at an equally amazing price. It has really been kept in pristine condition by it's previous owner and am sure you would keep the tradition alive. Have fun and happy motoring.
