F.E update : my last tank full gave me a f.e of 15.14 kmpl.Quite decent since the car ran in bumper to bumper traffic 80% of the times with 100% A/C.
Waiting for may trip to goa now
A decent FE I should say. My city avg is around 14kmpl. Last week I managed to get 16.4kmpl in 100% bumper-bumper traffic with 100% AC. Some good figures considering the fact that many say upgraded tires give poor mileage . BTW I run on 205/50/R15

Thats indeed a good FE.
The size of tyres doesnt really matter much as much as your driving style. It might hardly make a difference of 0.5kmpl in your final reading.
in stop start traffic scenario its better to drive in first gear rather than keep changing gears.

Couple of days back had taken my swift for routine wheel alignment and balancing.Got to know from the techie there that my front left suspension bush needs replacement.
Went to the service centre (Navnit motors)immediately and got it done. SA advised to get front both sides replaced as i might have to replace the right side one too after few months.Got the work done and got the car back the same day.Bill came up to Rs 2165/- inclusive of labour.

An update after almost 6 months..

My car has now completed 35k Kms.No problems faced ( touch wood) in these last 10k Kms thankfully.

Most of the last 10k was done city and the rest of it was one long drive to nasik and back and another 2000 kms drive from mumbai to goa and back.
Let me summarise the goa drive. We left Thane at 6am on dussera day and took the NH4 from pune.Drive was smooth and untiring ( i was the only one driving) up until nippani. From there on it was a completely different story altogether.Amboli ghat is in a mess.90% of road from nippani to sawantwadi is in a terrible state. It took us a lot of time to cross this section.Even the road between the maharashtra and goa checkpost is in a bad state.
Roads in goa are amazing as usual.since it was a holiday weekend goa was unusually crowded, considering that it was oct forst week.we stayed at ponda ( hotel farmagudi retreat) for one night since we had to visit the shantadurga temple there.
next day we headed to south goa to palolem beach. We checked into the Palolem guest house. Its an amazing place with nice rooms. Rs 1300 for an AC room per night.
Palolem was crowded too but less compared to calangute and baga.

While returning from goa we decided to avoid the Amboli section by taking the belgaum route. We took the belgaum road at ponda.Road upto belgaum was majorly ghat section. The ghat was simply neverending.Road condition was 50% better than the Amboli section but it took us awfully long time to reach belgaum ( around 4 hrs)

total Kms driven : 1996
F.E : 17.2 with 100% AC

last major service was done at 30k kms where the oil and filter were changed.Planning to go for wheel alignment and balancing now and giving for routine service later.

got the horn changed.fitted a skoda horn for Rs 750 including labour. Horn sounds great now.

Hi guys..

An update after almost two years now. Got the 60k service done.

Actually was planning to sell my swift till just month back. Was planning to go for a second hand vento.I even placed a ad in team bhp classifieds and got quite a few enquiries.I looked all over mumbai and thane for diesel vento.Came across quite a few cars. Most of them were in stunning showroom condition as far as exteriors and interiors are concerned. But once i took a trial it was a different story altogether. The ventos(around 6 of them) drove like indicas. All of them left me pressing the accelerator for power. Finally , frustrated i decided to retain my fun to drive swift for a year more.

There were quite a few nicks and scraches on my car . both bumpers were in bad shape.Claimed insurance and got all body work done at navnit motors, thane. wanted to get the car serviced too but they gave me a figure of 8.5k to change oil, filter, air filter, diesel filter and paid service.Am really concerned about the rising costs of maruti service. So decided to get the service done at my friends brothers garage.well everything was done in an hours time and the bill came up to 3.5k including amro oil additive.with the money saved got my front left tyre replaced.Baught yoko A-drive.

car has completed 62k.engine and gear box smooth as usual.Iam running on stock clutch as well which is still light.

few rattles have come up courtesy bad roads.but i guess if you are a swift owner you will have to tolerate rattles.
