@aceF355

for the steering wheel logo try ebay uk or ebay us?
i think you will be able to get it in ebay uk as quite a lot type R were sold in UK.

IMO
upgrading to 16" wont ruin the comfort that much but will surely improve the handling a lot combine it with grippy tires and it will be a bliss and fun to drive.I know type R never came with 16 but you can always scan for replicas of it in 16" ?
How does the body kit affect comfort?

I tried ebay but could not get my hands on this emblem. I am scanning 8thCivic forums for it now.

Forget 18" from Type R, I have driven Civics with 17" alloys and trust me you feel slightest of bump inside the cabin. Drive it a bit fast and you are all over the place sitting in the car. After that, you get into your Civic and thank god how comfortable your car is!!! And on my local roads, you miss one pothole and bang, your alloys are bent and done. 16" might be a good compromise. But I will have to look for their behavior before I plonk my money on them (I am still a student and can't spend too thrifty, you know)

Body kit isn't related to comfort but to the overall GC of the car and I am sure I will break it even a single time I will drive without much care.

@ACEF355

can understand your feelings about spending. Feelings are Mutual.

I had a ride in 16" on civic of my friend on pot holed filled mumbai roads and it was not bad i mean little bit stiffer than 15 but that can be overlooked by improved handling and aesthetics.

Quite agree to your point of bodykit

But IMHO your car does not look complete without the customs alloys, I mean your headlights and tail lights don't perfectly gel with the overall look of the car which is getting bogged down by the stock rims and tires.

also one more suggestion,
Why dont you get your glasses tinted?

ah, is this the website you are talking about? I hope it is them.
Civic 2007-9 (FD) -

One of my friend ordered front and back emblems from them and they peeled off within a month. So, I am really skeptical about the quality of their products. Will see how these 'genuine' ebay stuff turn out to be!

Thanks for the encouraging words about 16" alloys, Jatin. I will surely look into available options after returning back to India. I know stock alloys don't seem to go with the overall appearance of the car, especially when I am getting so much of this 'Type R' stuff, but honestly they aren't too bad either. About the tints, Thanks for the suggestion but I personally don't like them. And Civic's glass are already tinted(?) (light green).

Looks sweet> Our Civic is the same colour.

I wonder if the grille from the coupe will fit?

Thanks Mpower. Yep, I remember seeing your Civic in ICE section. How is your 'H' treating you?

Not sure about the grill but grill from Si will surely unique if fitted. And I wonder if the front bumber from current facelift Indian Civic will fit on to my car? New bumber gives the car a lot more planted look IMO. Will my stock fog lights be transferable?

Don't know if I should put query in ICE section, I am contemplating to buy a set of components if I can buy it cheaper here in NA. Any pointers? I usually listen to Classic Rock, or sometimes Trance and Hip Hop.

Recently I had called Honda spares parts section to find out if the newer headlights can be fitted to the pre-facelifted car. They said one needs to change the bumper to do so. So I guess it may be a package deal. Maybe a call to the spares parts folks can throw some light on this matter.

If I can give a suggestion; You can try to dampen the front doors and see the difference. I found a remarkable change for the better. Anyways, a better set of components will warrant dampened doors.

Oh really, when we were working on preparing my headlight, I realized new and old headlights are exactly the same. Why would any one need to change the bumper for the same??? I will ask the Honda spare part guy to clear this up for me.

My doors and trunk lid are already damped. Got it done for INR 5500 at Driven, Delhi. They put in 16 sq/ft of damping material, something called 'Roadkill'. Subhan and Rana ji were praising it a lot!

Results -

1. My door and boot lid have become seriously heavy. Doors shut with a proper thunk, so does the boot.

2. Mid bass response from stock ICE has improved. But still I feel I could throw in a good set of components.

I am wondering since some components that are expensive in India, can be bought for less here in North America. Add to that, I can have audition of so many brands a single place. Any pointers in that directions will be helpful.

Hey Ace,
How did I miss your thread. Belated congrats on your car, you have got a great deal.
Love your car, your car's color is slightly different than mine.

The headlights and taillights have transformed the looks of your 'steed', well done.
I too wanted to get the steering mounted controls done, but have kept it on the back burner for now.

Take care and have a great time (I see you already do :-)).

cheers

No worries hiren.mistry... Thanks so much for your wishes. I, too, proved to be a quick shopper (not as quick as you though ). 3rd day in my search and I was driving around in my own 'H'.

I am having hell of a good time with my Shark. I still need to connect the back lit lights of my steering mounted controls. Don't know when will have a spare day for doing that?

Now that I am sitting here in Canada, I do miss my car. But once in a while, a spirited drive in my room mate's 335i helps me calm down.

Edit: oh yeah, I think your car's color is Galaxy Grey. My car looks a bit darker than yours.

The coupe grille has a different shape and I love it. I might decide to paint mine either body colour or glossy black.

Reg ICE you can save a bit of money if you buy in NA are are travelling home. I got F.comps from amazon. If you try to ship it then its not worth the hassle or cost.

Matte black will look good IMO. Or how about putting carbon fiber vinyl on the grill? Or just buy the CF Mugen grill!

Do post a comprehensive review of your Civic as well. You are a moderator, you guys are known to take the initiative.

Yep, I am in Canada right now and most probably be coming back home next month. Thats why I have ordered K&N Typhoon and other stuff from here only.

How are your Infinity's regarding mid bass response? They are priced very reasonably at Amazon.

How do these look to you guys? Pardon me since I am an ICE novice and choosing only based on available reviews!

Well, for me it was love at first sight literally. I am very, very lucky to come across such a car as the first car.

Yes, mine is a Galaxy Grey. TBH your car looks darker than it actually is in the pics, smoking hot nonetheless.

335i! Now thats a car to drive. How different does it feel compared to our Civic?
Of course the power is on a totally different level and its also a RWD, but still.
