Used LandCruiser - Team-BHP

A friend of mine came across a used landcruiser for about 9Lakhs and it is four years old.
Exact details are not yet known, should get them in a day or two..
Would it be possible to buy a 4year old landcruiser for such a low price ???
I think there is something seriuosly wrong with the car ..

That is what even i thought.. But my friend was so excited about the price I just couldnt tell him that there was something fishy...
Anyway I hope it is a distress sale.

Be sure to check the paperwork thoroughly when it comes to these imported SUVs. The DRI is really cracking down on illegal imports, which may be why the person is selling it for such a low price.

If its 4-yrs old, then it could be a 101-series LC or a LC-Prado. Either of them for 4 lakhs is a steal (or stolen or illegal). Just make sure that the paper work is clean. Even if its a distress sale, i'm sure it wouldnt go for 4 lakhs.

It has to be either a accidental car or illegal import or a stolen car. So ask your friend to be very wary of it & check everything before committing to anything. Is it being offered in Hyderabad? I know of one total-loss Prado being repaired currently which is going to be on sale in Delhi very soon.

It is It is being offered in hyderabad but car is delhi registered. It is not a prado. It has a 2.6L diesel engine

Most often than not sellers misuse the date of 'import' as the date of 'manufacture' to lure an uneducated customer. Could be one of those cases. Moreover there was never a 2.6 diesel by toyota. The early nineties Prado had the 2L and 2L-T Engines which were 2.4 litre diesel, NA and Turbo respectively. Im guessing its one of those pieces.
