Hey there all! thanks a lot u all!

@ Normally Crazy: Didnt like the TAN interior much, i was having a TD of the 530d which actually had the TAN interiors in it. One good thing about the Tan leather is that they wouldnt get dirty very soon, compared to Beige.

@ aadix : Dude! thanks, and no way am going to buy the X5, if got that kinda money, i would place it all on the Q7! all the while in the Audi Showroom, my eyes were just feasting on it!

@ iraghava : Bro, its GRAPHITE GREY color with Beige Interiors. And rims are 17". In dark colors they only have Dark Blue and Black. Black i just cant maintain, and Dark Blue - wify has had enough of blues she says, Scorpio was blue, and so is the Tucson.

@ Androdev: Audi is not at fault here, their pricing is just perfect, the problem is with BMW, they priced a Rs.50lk car bang at Rs.42lk with a smaller engine, so this is the problem. If not for the launch of 520d, then I swear i would have bought the A4.

@ Danlalan: Yes, i did consider the Volvo S80, but too expensive and not worth it, and also no dealer in hyd, so service would be a problem, and no iDrive!

- Invoice price is Rs.39lk so it would come up to be around Rs.44-45lk onroad!

What do u guys think, should i go for the Service Package? I am sure to keep this car for the next 5 years and would surely do more than 60,000 kms by then, so i gotta take the 1lk kms package priced at around Rs.2,50,000 - 2,70,000/-.

, well from what I know you are an Audi fan alright, but the numbers certainly worked in favour of the 520d BMW, totally justifiable.

PLUS you are now a notch above the mere A4 wala's

- Change the angel-eyes bulb color from pale yellow to fiery RED! will make the car look develish like me. ha ha ha!

Congrats on the new car. BTW just my opinion, i think it would be better if you keep the taillights as stock, they would look much better than the clear glass ones. Again, just my opinion.

But whatever it is you do, make sure the warranty remains intact despite these mods. BTW, could you tell me what is the rim design they offer for the 520d.

Buddy, dont go wild on ebay finding stuff for your car. You can never trust the items on there.

But what you can trust is a BMW forum to advice you and find the best possible mods & solutions to any problems you might have.
forums.e60.net .. Have been a member on it since i got my car last year.... got some vital info from there, very helpful.

Just my piece of advice - please please dont put any "red angel eyes" or "clear tail-lamps" .. do you really want that beauty to look like a mis-match from fast and furious !
The car is a stunner as is, especially the tail lamps with those LED lines ...so if you must get some mods do it tastefully.

First mod would be to get the engine remapped after its clocked a few thousand kms! That could bring you to the level of a 525d !...well almost

Hey Sahil,

Firstly about the Angel Eyes - I reall find them very sad looking - the oem ones, so i was planning to make it either RED or WHITE. As my car will be of a darker shade, was thinking the RED would go good.

Second, about the Tail Lamps - These are of OEM quality - manufactured by HELLA, and have the same LED Lines too in it, hence i have thought of it, costing around $500 for a set of 2. Again, as my car will be Darker shade, was thinking the clear tail lights would look good against darker background, if lighter color car, would have thought for Smoked ones!

Thanks for the tip on that forum, will join it pronto, and get more out of it.
And the remapping sounds yummy! the 530d i drove was EXCELLENT, super powered! sure wish something like that!

@ Funkydevil : The rim design will be 5 spoked and Platinum Grey is the color, i just checked.

Just did a random search on that forum for you... just look around i'm sure you will find a tons of tempting stuff that you can do to your car and make your wallet lighter at the same time

White Angel Eyes = YES
(Edit: Ill suggest against the red too, they look too wannabe)

Clear Hella Tail Lamps = HELL YES!
(I put those on a friends black 5 and it looks uber-hot)

I won't ever put red ones even if i got them free... don't mean to be harsh but thats just my opinion ... but go with what your heart says, if its red then go for it without a doubt !

I have seen these Hella tail-lamps but i dont think they have the facelifted 5 series LED lines in them, do double check on that.

Btw, are you sure your rims at 17inchers? The tech specs on the Bmw India website show the 520d tires to be 225/55R16.
