Er...guys and GTO, I have now owned the new E 200 for a week....so far it's a dream. i know of GTO's experience, but then those were the Mercs of yore. Me thinks merc has significantly upped its game with respect to quality, reliability, however it's early days and I will keep my fingers crossed. However the new C is known to be reliable except for some CDIs with injector problems which Merc was quick to address.
The new E is cheaper than the nissan Infinity which i was considering...but after a lot of in depth research, including speaking to owners, service advisors, and free lancing mechanics, I comitted myself.
Merc E and S classes sell very well in abu Dhabi and so far no discernible reliability issues..however will keep posted with honest feedbacks with my merc.
