IMO if you want the audi forget the 1.8. the 2.0T is the car to go for, its just over 200hp and is pretty quick.

Heyy guys Update.

We are processing the loan and soon I am getting a shiny BMW 3 CE.

Cost is 24.65.
+
60 K insurance
50 K registration Punjab.
Color is gonna be white.

Once the loan is approved we are going to book the car and it will take 10-12 days to arrive.. Long wait huh!

Hey I am planning to go for 18" tyres non-RFT. Could you guys help me select some alloys.

How much can I expect from the original 16 Alloys and RFT tyres for dealers in chandigarh?

Thanks

Mods update title to... Almost booked BMW 3 CE

Compared to North the South OTR are always way ahead. You can check for any manafacturer, its just the same.

Go for it, but the 18" will RUIN your ride. Unless you live in an infrastructure heaven that we're not aware of, I suggest you seriously reconsider. The best part about the CE infact, are the 55 profile tyres. Even though RFT, they provide a decent ride. I suggest keep the alloys and change to regular tubeless on delivery. Or better still, make the dealership do it for you as part of the deal.

BTW 60k for insurance is too high. Get an external quote (I take it from BA) and either get the dealership to relent or go with self-insurance with the external quote. It should not exceed 45-50k.

Really, 60k is expensive? I recently just paid 88k for the insurance of my 5 series. I got it done from Infinity BMW, it was to do with TATA Secure and he said that it was a bumper-to-bumper insurance (apparently most vehicle parts are included). Did I get ripped off big time?

Agree with flyingspur. Comprehensive insurance for a 25l car should be around 45k only. There are enough insurers to match that figure. Dealer's in-house insurance tie-up is almost always 20%+ over competetive market rates. IMO Insurance should never be bought from the dealer's insurance tie-up.

Unless Secure was included, I'd say yes. Infinity asked for 98k for my 3-series. Finally I got it for 46k from them only. For curiosity's sake, I suggest you make an informal quote request to any insurer and provide the same IDV that Infinity charged you insurance on, and see their first quote. It'll be interesting I think.

Well, yah Security was included as far as I know. Is there any difference if you get it done from the dealer or directly? Whats an IDV? I've already paid for the insurance for this year, but I'll definitely cross-check for next year.
