Look we have a problem here. Its the same dilemma I am in these days. You running on stock 15" alloys and sport options available are niche. In fact, on the whole, the sports tyre options available in India are niche.

The brilliant Michelin PP2s are no more available but you have an option for Michelin PS3; 205/55R15 or 205/60/R15 are available, you can check for 215s if available. The Yokohama S-Drives are available in 205/55/R15 and thats what I am running on, but I guess it will not be sufficient for this monster.. The advans A048 are available in 225/50R15, which shouldnt be an issue apart from the fact that they will stick out, a little of the car. But the main thing is they are summer tires and cant handle wet conditions.

I think if you upgrade to 17s, you will have more options available. 16 will also provide options but its an odd size and the exact/near by aspect ratio may not be available.

if you stick to 15s, sdrives, ps3 and advan 048 are the only sporty options available and then this advan will be hard to find as well.

The Neova 08s were earlier available in this size but I dont think it is available any more. In 2009, I definitely got a quote of 7500 for 205/55R15 and I think ROC too got them.

That's one helluva job put together!

The Garrett looks beautiful, and given a choice I'd drive it without the front bumper!

Still reading through, but for a cheap question: what was the damage?

I have a Jan '11 Cedia, done 5k kms, and would much like to pay Mr. Leela a visit sometime soon.

Mate - you have done a great job compiling the thread - thanks for the effort, i guess reward for good work is more work - Could you please possibly estimate how much the actual cost of the build was and if possible a video of the work of art.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best - ML

Hi Chiragh

Amazing car has been built by RRP . If one has so much money that the way one should spend it .

Ping Nikhilb2008 and Kpzen , they are tyre guru's of teambhp . They can let you know what the best . Create a new thread in tyres and allow wheel section so that you can get faster replies .

Hi Chirag and Anmol,

I have been following this thread recently and i am like Whoa! This is one
crazy build. I do not much words to express. I feel like i might get goosebumps when i am actually in the car while the beats takes off like a rocket

Congratz on the super car build. We wish you update this thread regularly
about the feel of the car {though it might be too much to ask for }

I had been to RRP once with my OHC. Wanted to get an FFE from them.
I was impressed with the professionalism shown, the way they answered my queries and they took me around the campus explaining the facilities available. Also got a chance to interact with a couple of engineers who
were working on the engine. The Dyno facility is really cool. Was wondering
i should get my car dynoed once { Any idea how much they could charge?}

Anyways, i cant wait to hear from Anmol about his supercharged baby and how she treats him everyday. For sure its an unknown experience as it takes time to get settled with her, understand her more and then you will enjoy the journey with her.

I am eagerly awaiting to hear the exhaust note and do post the 0-100 timings.

Happy Revving.

Cheers,
Ayyappan

@Anmol

All the best for your car's "greh pravesh" tommorow. Do post pics & do look seriously at tyre upgrade.

Cheers

From 195/60 R15 to 205/50 R15, the diameter here is being reduced by more than 1 inch, not recommended. Please.

I use bfg gforce sport on my car, overpriced and nothing great. Please avoid.
I've had 3 sets of neovas , a set of ES100s and a set of potenzas and I can say the ES100 were more inspiring.. Please reconsider!

205/55/15 should cut it about right. Tyre sizes are derived by considering various issues one of the important one being safety. It is advise-able to remain well within 3% variation of the stock tyre size.

I am surprised RRP put these tyres for you or was this Anmol's decision ?? I am pretty sure RRP would not recomend incorrect tyre sizes to begin with.

Looking forward to snaps of the car

@ Ricky-63 - well since this car has had major upgrade on the suspension and the brakes, would this still be an issue, in other words do we still need to stay within the 3% limit
Any thoughts.
