Accessories for Swift

Hi Car GURUS...

Bought Swift Vxi (without ABS) red color 1 week back.
Planning to load it with decent accessories... HELP HELP!!!

Looking for >> Suggest brands / prices to buy / special care to take!!
1. Sterio & Speakers
2. Protectors (safety guards) for bumper and door
3. Parcel Trey (somehow it is not inbuild..
4. Seat Covers (is it relly required??)
5. Mobil Chargers
6. Reverse Sensor (I am very confused on this )
7. Glass Films (which color / brand is best?)
8........100 (anything else i have missed

I stay in hyderabad... so any specific help regarding the shops to buy from will also be helpful.

please suggest a budget for each of these. there are brands and products available to suit different budgets. In most cases you get what you pay for.

of all that you have mentioned ...i feel the music system and the seat covers are the ones that you require ...i dont have much info about music systems ...but about seat covers u get anything from 1.5k to 25k genuine leather ones ...


bumper protectors are also not required ..they dont help in any way
about the parcel tray ..u can go for the ones that come in the high end ...
swifts ...about the reverse sensor ..thats not required in a small car


instead you can invest on upgrading your headlites to 100/90 w with relays ..

also you can spend on a MGA car security system ..


But the most important thing that you shoudnt forget is the 3rd and 4th year extended warranty

1. Stereo and speakers are a must have. You can get a decent setup for about 10,000-15,000. (2 pairs of Co-axial speakers for the four doors and a Sony or Pioneer Head Unit) For more details check the In Car Entertainment section.
2. I suggest you do not get the black moulding. I feel it does not serve any purpose and spoils the clean look of the Swift.
3. You can but the parcel tray from MGA shop for about Rs 1,000. (I feel it is overpriced)
4. The Swift comes with good durable seat covers. You can get them cleaned every time your car is serviced.
5. Mobile charger. I don't know much about this. I want to get one myself. Give me the details if you get one.
6. Reverse sensors are pretty useful. Get them if you find rear visibility bad as is the case with the Swift. (Helps you avoid scratches)
7. Llumar, vCool.
8. How about a snazzy set of alloys??

Finally my 2 week old Red VXi car is now FULLY LOADED!!!

Some more points:
1. I felt that the seat hight is too low and needed to increase it by putting cushioning below
the seat covers for both the front seats. Now its really nice. Can see the road better
2. Taflon Coating: quite a controversial subject. But i got the payoff immediately. Somehow
while i had parked the car, the drainage water fell on it.. thanks to taflon... it did not
damage the car. Also, the dealer immediately applied one more coat, and did some
brush-up free. I think its worth it. Its a 2 year package of 6-7 coats at each servicing.
3. Parcel Tray... strange that Maruti does not give it with VXi... not sure why???
4. Sony.... I am really happy with the system and speakers... great sound... no noise.
5. Reverse Sensor.... for 2250 (original cost 2600)... its value for money, especially for a new
driver like me. Added comfort level.
