The sky can be a limit when it comes to modifying a car. But the thin line comes between feasible / practical high performance and high performance but insanely impractical. Else, it all comes down to just impressive numbers on print and nothing else. Definitely appreciate the effort no doubt.

Anyway, need more info on the build and all components that have gone into it. Also, please do post in such a way that it makes it easy to read. And break it up into various segments so it is easy to follow.

Cant wait to see a decent set of pics and a proper write up

The thread deserve some better images.

Now to the technicalities. 600 bhp on a front wheel drive car is a huge waste. If just for a drag/straight line its fine but for something like rally or autocross its a waste.

Thanks for sharing and kudos to you for your effort.

car is undrivable everyday..its only meant for the track. we have a 8 point roll cage in her and without ac and a twin disk metal clutch. ure leg would fall off in traffic..for all u haters of gtech this is the new one based on satellite readings..we have dynoed factory cars like the amg63 and evo x and it has given us exact figures. it has adjustments for coef of drag and tranny losses and weight of the car etc...if u guys wana see the car in action in will post time and day for inspection..as far as doing a dyno..ks dyno dosent hold anything over 500 and last time we actually drove there from the burbs he actually gave us attitude and no measurements and honestly i cant handle so much crap from anyone. we are in the process off setting up our own dynos..lets see what happens. u guys are welcome to line up any car with her. so u will understand the monster that she is.

bro y is it a waste ?? do u know that we have a 800hp nissan cefiro which is rwd and unlike our fwd car she cant hold traction on the track and we have been struggling for over a year to keep her straight. dont knock fwd cars unless u understand their potential. And yes this car is only meant for drag racing

Here is a video of the Civic when it was lined up with the Cefiro, The video has very little of the Civic but you do get a glance

and here is one of the Cefiro, you see it struggling for traction.

WoW great achievement guys, I don’t say it’s unreal because overseas these kind of stuff are normal. Is this the same blue Civic Type R hatch which was in Bangalore? Or is this civic sedan?

Nice. An EG with an H22. Can you upload direct pics instead of pics of pics?

What engine management are you using? Getting traction will be difficult even with slicks. The tarmac strip is nowhere near sticky enough. Getting race gas shouldn't be an issue, as you'd probably know. Avgas should be possible too, the only issue being that it's leaded and therefore would require a retune and would eat wideband sensors for lunch.

Good luck with the dyno setup. What dyno are you guys planning, if you don't mind me asking? Hopefully something better than what's already available.

Not for bragging or proving any claims, but I would suggest - you do a drag with the F430s, Gallardos, GTR, 911 Ts.

If you confidently believe in the horses powers figures of your Gtech, this would help you determine how much power you are able to put at the wheels and help you tackle the traction issues. If you are able to manage to keep up with these, you surely have accomplished a super job. Even otherwise, the job is great considering the resources we have available in India.

And that would prove what? That an RWD with high end electronics like launch control just might be able to out-accelerate an FWD that is running a decade-old engine in a decade-old chassis?

Some of the comments here are shockingly hilarious. Is it really necessary to post that a 600 hp FWD car cannot be driven daily? As if the reason for building the engine was to use it as a grocery-getter. Funny and stupid at the same time.

Guys, rather than getting into war of words, I think we should really compliment vivanbhathena for the amazing stuff that he has done.
I am sure it mush have been a pain to get 600+ on this machine. Real test of patience.

All the best to all your races vivanbhathena, love your ride.

Nice work Vivek!!

About the Gtech, I would take a properly calibrated GTech over a inertia dyno any day!
