Congratulation and thanks for sharing your trial by fire account. Do you have any photos the headlamp split open so that we can learn from it too?

As above, did you manage to photograph the connectors work in progress?

Try reinforcing it with an appropriate piece of aluminium splint (flat, angle or other) - bridge the broken bracket by drilling & rivetting or screwing (use appropriate nut/bolt or screw and also hot glueing. Just make sure that the clearances are OK prior to making a splint.

This is a general suggestion.Perhaps if can post the pictures with a scale next to it, ideas for reinforcing will be easier.

Amit, simply stunning. You say angel eyes, I say "Rings of Fire".

Just a quick question. Since the same setup is on the Vista/Manza and since Fiat and Tata share the same technology, is it the same way we can mod lights on the Tata brothers too?

dont know about vista manza. even punto and linea have different ones

and i think the headlights on linea are imported whereas manza and vista are indians.

am not sure though.

amit_mechengg,

Would you have any pics of the bumper removal. If so can you please share them, infact the entire process.

basky,

Thats a neat idea, i will try the same and come back, thank you.
This would take some time as i have to figure out a way to dismantle the bumper.

Hey Bro, Just bought a Chevy Beat last month. Esteem is up for sale in the classified section. Wasn't getting the expected resale value for it, so i have removed all the performance parts and other accessories and selling them off separately, finally will sell the car as stock or might even think over keeping it just as a second car for local use by family.

@amit_mechengg

Congrats!!! You are the first one in the world to have a linea with this light setup...
Every time, I see a car with proj lights, I will start thinking about having the same for my beauty...I will google to find if some one had done this mod to a linea and found no result.
After seeing your effort, I really don't want to hurt my beauty to achieve this. I will live with the existing halogen lights until Fiat provides its own proj light for Linea..:(
Really, its an achievement...
Now, at least I am ready to upgrade the high beam..Pls post your high beam config?
you have any pre-hid snaps to see the ONB bulb effect? Does the brightness and light density is enough in rain also?

Congrats again!

Cheers
Dinesh

a new headlight would cost you Rs.3550

but you should get it in second hand market too, especially the headlight buffing guys.

Really nice work, more than incoming blindness i am more interested in the beam spread and the distance from the car which is lighted up, any pics that you can post. Seeing this i am beginning to plan it on my Manza. Can you PM me the site from where you got the Projector + HID. The only problem I see in the Manza is that the low beam reflector is of a slightly bigger diamention than the high beam and also the availability of a bolt on kit is suspect.

Edit: Just found this youtube video, some company in Dlehi, not sure how reliable it will be.
