Question Is it possible to change the instrument cluster display?

Hi

I was just wondering is it possible to change the Speedometer CARD (* on which the Speed in km / RPM / Fuel & Temp Gauge ) are printed for the Esteem 2001 .. I find it quiet a BORE to look at it...maybe if its possible to change to a new card ? or i have heard that some colourful bulbs come which CHANGE colours ( change the speedo lighting ) is it ok to do so ? and if any1 could tell me the price for both ( i.e Replacing the Speedo CARD / BULBS ) ???

Thanks

Has anyone changed the instrument cluster display on their car? I'm keen on upgrading my Lancer's display too. Any info will be appreciated.

I changed the lighting in my Innova cluster to red, to match some other goodies in the car. It was a pain to get it all opened up but the results are oh so sweet.

The baleno's was changed from green to orange by just removing the green rubber covering on the bulbs. Now looking to replace the bulp to a white one(actually did this already but didnt have enough bulbs).
For the baleno you need 3 white parking bulbs and about 4 smaller white bulbs.

@ankur: how exactly did u change the light cluster? would be great if you provided some details. i'm assuming you retained the original casing & housing (can't really make out from the pic!).

can also buy these from car accessories shops..nowadays also get el displays.
easier thing to just change the colour is to open the display and change the leds/bulbs
