Default Bull bar for scorpio

After much waiting, got the delivery of the new scorpio

Now, where do I get a good bull bar? which brand is good? I should be able to fix 2 driving lights ( 6 inch ) on them

I saw a "carry boy" brand, which doesnt have extn to the sides of the front bumper, and did not like it.

Apparently, mahindra dealers stopped giving bull bar option with the new model

oh, I am in Bangalore.

Thanx in advance.

Bull bars aren't the best things as far as safety in concerned...

1. A bullbar isnt such a bright idea. It multiplies the damage you cause to others without increasing protection to yourselves.

2. If you must, go for Carryboy. They're better made than others available in the market - at least the person you hit wont die of tetenus from the rust on your bullbar.

3. I think your vehicle looks good enough as it is - why stretch the point with a bullbar?

NIP, that's bang on target.

If you are going in for one, you could have the type that covers the bumper. The bumper is fibre, and can hurt in terms of cost even if a bike hits your bumper and you got to replace it, painted et al

Any place in Hyderabad where I can look out for Bull bar for Scorpio??

I am not sure which is the locality in Hyderabad, where you get a lot of car accessories for a good price. The dealers are a ripp off on your pockets.

reanamo Congrats for the choice. I too am expecting my Scorpio by mid April.
I am also not exactly in favour of fitting a bull bar as accessory. That may be best avoided.

Good catch RL! Even I had the confusion till I read your post!

Confusion because Sudipta posted in this thread since he has a similar query. Most of us do not look at the date of the post to which we respond to, hence this.

@Sudipta, you have your responses, even though some of them were not responses to your query.

Sudipta,

You can try Indian Decars at Banjara Hills(opp to Hyd biryani house or beside new Qmart building).

I have been a customer there for last 15+years now.

You can PM me for any further info.

OT: What happened to the Dzire? Cancelled?

Topic Related - Best would be not to fit any bull bar taking into account the safety of other people on the road. A Car can be fixed if damaged, human body parts would be difficult.

My 2 cents.

Bull bars will increase the weight by quite a bit and also make the vehicle nose heavy.

I see some Range Rovers bull bars made out of plastic. Not sure if its just a covering.

Hey, congrats on the new buy. IMO, don't put a bull guard. The crumple zones of a car(any car i mean) aren't made keeping bullbar in mind and I'm pretty sure putting a bull bar up front will cause only more damage in case of an accident, to both you car and the one it bangs into.
I know it gives a more WICKED stance to the car, so if you have to, and then even more have to, find some good, well designed one.

cheers

+1 to this. Most bull bars (metal ones) are extremely flimsy.
