Thumbs up Tata Safari: Rear A/C blower installation

Last week, I installed middle row blower in my Tata Safari Lx. I am planning to trip towards North from Bangalore during May and this is necessity considering our cars being deprived of sun films.

I installed the middle row AC blower in Bangalore from AC mechanic Shaju on recommendation of bhpian Pavan Kadam at Shaju's Vasanth Nagar AC Shop.

Middle row AC blower will help chilling middle seat also it will increase cool air circulation inside car. Without sunfilm, many times I had to move to blower to speed 3 or 4 for rear passengers comfort and it was disturbing at front. Now, it is very comfortable at back.

I have not taken WIP pics as I was not present during whole installation. There are some misalignment of panels at side but it is not major. Here is installed pics I have taken today.

Total cost came to 19,500 Rupees. The blower unit is of Formula1 company as Sanden not available easily here.

Middle row blower grill temperature at speed 2 -- 7.6 degrees. There is 2 difference of 2 degrees. Not sure why? Any clue?

Agreed on the requirement, considering the massive cabin & sunfilm ban!

Amazing job done. I wanted to know from you if you had approached TASS for the same mod and what is the cost difference? Secondly, has any member got the similar thing done in Delhi or has any suggestion as to a reputed garage who has an expertise? Thanks

Great work and good info. I am also looking to install rear A/C vent in my CAPTIVA but my local installers are not putting enough interest into it. Kindly assist me in this case. Advance thanks.
